Some users are targeted to get 15% off one gift card purchase in the Uber or Uber Eats app. The promotion is only good for one gift card purchase, but it’s valid for a gift card with a value between $25 and $500. You could get as much as $75 off if you max this one out.

The Deal
- Uber is offering some users 15% off a single Uber gift card purchase of $25-$500. Find this offer in your Uber Account by going to your account details and clicking “Send a gift”.
Key Terms
- Valid until 11pm Eastern time on 6/22/26 or while supplies last
Quick Thoughts
Terms indicate that this deal is valid until 11 p.m. Eastern time tonight (6/22/26) or while supplies last. In other words, it could get pulled early. While 15% off isn’t quite as good as you can sometimes do at Costco (which sells $100 in Uber gift cards for $80), and it isn’t as good as last week’s Paze craze, it is nonetheless a pretty good deal, particularly for those who want to make a single large gift card purchase from the couch.
The offer is apparently targeted. I didn’t see it in my Uber account, but I found it in my wife’s account by going to her account menu and then finding the icon to send a gift. The promotion is only valid on Uber gift cards, but remember that Uber gift cards can be used for Uber or Uber Eats.

Lyft has a promo $85 gets you $100.
I haven’t seen Uber gift cards at my Costco recently. When I was there about a week ago I asked and they said that Uber dropped the contract so this might be more valuable if indeed you can no longer get the discounted Uber gift cards at Costco
I just added a bunch of Paze funded Uber gift cards the other day. I think I’ll pass.
@Nick Reyes . I imagine it would trigger the Chase UA card credits (Targeted in P1/P2 app, bummer I loaded $60 (3 cards min $20) in UberCash last week ($6 is still $6)
I also wonder if one could bank the Monthly Amex Credits? We tend to oreder food pickup on non-travel months.
Yes, this should trigger the UA card credit. I have done that before.
No, you cannot use your Amex credits to buy gift cards, so you cannot extend the expiration that way.
Kinda of figured about the AMEX credits.
I think one of the few workarounds for the Delta Rideshare is with family sharing if you have the card setup for fam share – they can pay (or could).for UberEats.
I’m not certain if this helps. Expiring credits are used first. With nearest expiration first. Then non-expiring credits. For monthly Amex credits, they will expire unused each month. Then, earned credits from purchases to expire after 60 days?
I see the offer in my app; what’s the best card to use for a good multiple?
The charge comes up as Uber Cash so it might be an “all other” instead of transit or dining.
In the absence of DPs, I would NOT recommend using Bilt because gift cards are an exclusion.
I used VX.
Thanks Nick. Picked one up.
Ditto.
If I buy the GC in Uber eats app, does it code as dining for amex gold?
It does not code as dining; it codes as rideshare. (If you have a United CC that gets statement credits for rideshares, this should work. I purchased a gift card and it coded the same as an Uber cash reload)
