With the United and Southwest shopping portals launching promotions last week and the American Airlines and Delta portals joining them this week, the Alaska Airlines portal has now entered the fray today with its own three-tiered promotion.

The Deal
- The Alaska Airlines Atmos Rewards shopping portal is offering the following promotion:
- Spend $150 & earn 300 bonus Atmos Rewards points
- Spend $400 & earn 1,000 bonus Atmos Rewards points
- Spend $750 & earn 2,000 bonus Atmos Rewards points
- Direct link to offer.
Key Terms
- During the “Back-to-School Bonus” offer, which runs from 7/22/2026 through 8/10/2026 at 11:59:59 pm ET (the “Bonus Period”), Member will receive a one-time bonus of up to 2,000 Atmos Rewards bonus points on qualifying purchases made shopping online through Atmos Rewards Shopping or from purchases made through Atmos Rewards Shopping in-store offers, in addition to the standard points earned from shopping through the Atmos Rewards Shopping program.
- This one-time bonus award will be determined using one of the following tiers, based on Member’s cumulative qualifying purchases made during the Bonus Period: Tier 1 bonus: 300 points for qualifying purchases of at least $150; Tier 2 bonus: 1,000 points for qualifying purchases of at least $400; or Tier 3 bonus: 2,000 points for qualifying purchases of $750 or more.
- “Qualifying purchases” do not include returns, cancellations, shipping and handling, taxes, gift card or other cash equivalent purchases, and certain products that are not eligible for bonus points. Please see the Atmos Rewards Shopping site for details on product eligibility and other restrictions.
- Bonus points do not count towards Atmos Rewards status points.
- Please allow up to 10 weeks after the Bonus Period for bonus points to post to your Atmos Rewards Shopping account.
- The Tier 3 bonus provides the maximum number of points that will be awarded.
Quick Thoughts
It’s nice to have this additional shopping portal bonus, although the number of bonus points versus the spend required aren’t as good as the United and Southwest portal promos.
The Alaska portal has a card-linked in-store offer feature. Purchases at those stores with a linked card also count towards the spending thresholds. With eligible brick and mortar stores including CVS, Ikea, Sephora, and more, that could certainly help you earn bonus points from this promotion if you wouldn’t hit spending thresholds through online spending alone.
There’s some concerning wording in the terms though. When Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines launched the Atmos Rewards program, they advised that bonus points from shopping portal promotions such as this would count towards Status Points, with every 3,000 redeemable points earned also earning 1,000 Status Points. Unfortunately the wording towards the end of the terms—Bonus points do not count towards Atmos Rewards status points—suggests that’s no longer the case. We’ve reached out to Alaska Airlines to get confirmation as to whether that’s a definite change, so we’ll update this post if/when we hear back.

Hey Stephen, any updates on whether the bonus miles still count towards status points? Thanks as always.
We actually just heard back this evening. I’ll be publishing a separate post about it tomorrow, but unfortunately bonus miles earned from promos such as these will no longer count towards status points.
Disappointing, but thanks!
Dang, that bonus point/status point change would stink.,
