Barclays has been sending out targeted emails to cobranded cardholders this past week, offering 10X bonus points on up to $500 of spend when adding an authorized user.

The Deal
- Earn 10X points on targeted Barclays cobranded cards when adding an authorized user.
Key Terms
- This offer is valid for select cardmembers and is not transferable. If your account is closed or you switch to another product during the promotional period, you may no longer be eligible for this promotion.
- If you receive this offer and add one or more authorized users to your account by 7/31/2026, you will receive 10 points for every $1 in purchases, less credits, returns and adjustments (“Net Purchases”) made by the authorized user(s) with transaction dates between 6/30/2026 and 9/30/2026, up to a maximum of 5,000 points.
- Maximum of 5,000 points is calculated by cumulative eligible authorized users’ purchases.
- The 5,000 points are not earned on purchases made by the primary cardmember.
Quick Thoughts
Earning 10X points on up to $500 of spend on the new authorized user card(s) is a decent return on spend, especially considering you don’t have to actually hit that $500 spending cap in order to earn 10X on any of that spend.
This offer was sent to a Hawaiian Airlines credit cardholder, but there will likely be similar offers sent to targeted cardholders of other Barclays cobranded cards.
One consideration before taking advantage of this type of deal is that the authorized user cards will affect the 5/24 status of the authorized user.
To determine your 5/24 status, see: Easy ways to count your 5/24 status. The easiest option is to track all of your cards for free with Travel Freely.
Now, if the authorized user card pushes them over that five card threshold, they can call the Chase reconsideration line and ask for it not to be counted towards their 5/24 count. Chase phone reps aren’t always willing to ignore authorized user cards though; even if they are, it’s up to you whether it’s worth potentially adding more hassle in the future for your P2 for the sake of earning 10X points on a maximum of $500 spend.

Any idea when the extra points will hit the account? I added an AU and right now am only seeing 1x points post. TY!
Where do you find the offers for Barclays cards? I have Wyndham Biz Earner.
I’ve never seen these offers on my Wyndham Business card. I think they might only get extended to personal cards; at the very least, I don’t think they extend them to Wyndham Business cards.
On personal cards, when logging in there’s an ‘Offers’ menu item which is where these promos show up. Barclays often – but not always – sends emails too.
Can you get around adding it to 5/24? Do they actually take ssn and dob? Maybe I can add a kid?
I got a similar but better offer a few months ago for my HA card: add an authorized user, earn 5000 points after $200 spend.
I got that offer on the no-AF Jetblue card.
