Bilt Rewards released details of its next Rent Day transfer bonus today that’ll take place on July 1. Following the launch of its new partnership with the Preferred Hotels I Prefer loyalty program on a 1:2 basis, we’d expected next month’s Rent Day to offer a transfer bonus to Preferred Hotels as that’s what Bilt’s often done in the past when adding new transfer partners.
That’s not the case this time around though. Instead, Bilt will be offering a bonus to a different hotel program—Hilton Honors. The headline rate of up to a 200% bonus sounds amazing, but it’s really not. Short story even shorter: give it a wide berth on July 1.

The Deal
- Bilt Rewards is giving the following transfer bonuses to Hilton Honors on July 1, 2026 based on your Bilt status level:
- Blue – 75% bonus
- Silver – 100% bonus
- Gold – 150% bonus
- Platinum – 175% bonus
- Redeem $150 Bilt Cash to increase your bonus by one tier. Platinum members will get a 200% bonus if doing that.
Key Terms
- Offer valid July 1, 2026 from 0:00am ET through 11:59pm PT.
- Limit of 100K transferred Bilt points.
Quick Thoughts
The reason this transfer bonus isn’t at all exciting is due to a) the existing Bilt to Hilton transfer ratio and b) the value of Hilton points nowadays.
Bilt ordinarily transfers to Hilton on a 1:1 basis which is a little surprising considering the transfer ratio from Amex is 1:2. That 1:1 ratio means that for each Bilt point you transfer with the bonus on July 1 you’ll be getting:
- Blue – 1.75 points
- Silver – 2 points
- Gold – 2.5 points
- Platinum – 2.75 points
- Platinum member who redeems $150 Bilt Cash – 3 points
The other significant consideration here is the value of Hilton points. During a recent revaluation, we found that their Reasonable Redemption Value had dropped to just 0.35 cents per point (cpp). If you were indeed to only get 0.35 cents per point of value when redeeming your Hilton Honors points, the value you’d be getting per Bilt point would be as follows:
- Blue – 0.61cpp
- Silver – 0.7cpp
- Gold – 0.875cpp
- Platinum – 0.96cpp
- Platinum + $150 Bilt Cash – 1.05cpp
Getting sub 1 cent per point of value for your Bilt points unless you also throw in $150 of Bilt Cash is suboptimal.
Now, it’s certainly possible to get more than 0.35 cents per point of value from your Hilton points, but even then it’s generally going to be advisable to give July’s transfer bonus a miss. If you do indeed find a high value Hilton redemption, it might be better to buy points for 0.5cpp during the current sale and leave your stash of Bilt points untouched in order to redeem them for far greater value with future anticipated transfer bonuses.

Haha .. I’m giving Bilt a wide berth. Every time I try to understand the program my head spins. Why do they have the damn thing so complicated with 2 types of currencies and lots of hurdles to jump through? I might be leaving some opportunities on the table but it’s just too damn complicated to understand and I’m not sure I’d trust them to make my mortgage payment. And it would be yet another high priced credit card.
It’s not a fit for you. And, that’s okay. For others, it is a fit. And, that’s okay.
The problem arises when someone says that (something) isn’t good for them and therefore can’t possibly be good for anyone else. Or, something is good for them and therefore is the right choice for everyone else.
And this is exactly why such a lucrative card might have a chance of having some lasting power. Once you just take a little time to learn the ins and outs, bilt can be very valuable. However, most people are inherently lazy and won’t maximize this card. We and Bilt NEED those people though to survive. Making the card more complex increases the chance of survival.
Thanks for making it personal.
If it works for you, that’s fine by me.
My comment was my own perception of the program. It’s the “Rube Goldberg” of loyalty programs.
On another look, I get 3.3 Bilt points quite easily per $ spend
This converts them to 3 times that = 9.9 points HH per $ spend
– 300k at a time for each member of the family, which is not bad at all.
My Amex card gives only 3 HH points per $ spend and 6-12x only with Hilton spend
Compared to lost cash of 2.625c, I am getting HH points at 0.27c
Still not a bad value if you have Hilton plans
Also Hilton transfers for free and you can stitch together a nice pile for redemptions
What Amex card only gives 3 HH points per $? That’s worse than the BBP, which gives 2 MR, which turns into 4 HH. We expect the transfer bonus that was prematurely released to return, so you’d get 4.8 HH points per dollar.
I think they’re referring to the Hilton cards themselves that earn 3X on non-bonused spend.
I kind of guessed that, but that’s a bad baseline.
Bilt is based on unbonused spend + unlimited amounts.
I have a USB smartly that gives 4c csah back but limited to 10k
HH fee free cards give 7x Hilton, 5x dining, groceries and gas and 3x everywhere else.
Surpass gives 12x Hilton, 6x dining groceries, 4x online and 3x rest
Aspire gives 14x Hilton, 7x select travek and dining and 3x rest
To compare apples to apples
Bilt fee free cards gives 2.3x unbonused spend x 300% = 6.9x
Bilt Obsidian gives 3x dining grocery +1.3x rent =4.3 then x3 = 12.9x HH on dining and groceries
For unbonused spend Palladium gives 3.3x x 3 = 9.9 HH /$
Basically you get HH points for less than 0.35c at any time, better than using amex (except Gold for groceries 4x x2.6 best bonus = 10.4x HH)
This is arguably the worst transfer value Bilt has. Even with the bonus, it’s poor.
Bilt only needs to add Choice and LHW to round out the hotel networks. Hopefully, they do on reasonable terms.
Oh, so, maybe “Lee” isn’t L3, because I’d’ve expected a BILT-sycophant to find some way to justify even this.
