Quick Thoughts
This could be a very good deal, especially with the 6x earnings on Visa/MC gift cards and Gift of College. Be aware of the $2K order limit though.
Note that some people have had problems getting Capital One Offers to trigger when using cards from other issuers. If that happens, despite the terms saying that it’s allowed, Capital One is usually of no help. I’ve never personally had that happen, but if you are using a non-C1 card, it may be prudent to use Capital One Shopping instead.

Today Chase cards havre 5% back on up to $1000 in orders from Giftcards.com, which could presumably be stacked with 4x from Capital One Offers. However, given that Giftcards.com doesn’t seem to be interested in actually filling any orders (at least based on orders my wife and I tried to make yesterday) it may be of limited value.
‘Not eligible for purchases of Giftcard.com eGifts’ The wording a little ambiguous on this.
Does this mean the specific product ‘Giftcard.com eGift’ is excluded or does it mean eGifts across the site? I’m assuming it’s the former but I wanted to check.
It’s referring to buying giftcards.com-branded giftcards. I accidentally bought one thinking I was buying a Target GC, they make it tricky on purpose I’m sure.
I don’t see that in my Cap 1 offers and I cant search for it either, rats!
Careful with giftcards.com-branded giftcards coming up first when you search for a certain brand. Fell into that trap and it’s listed as an exclusion.

They exclude redemption of gift cards. I was wondering what that meant. Maybe that?

Can I do multiple orders as long as each is under $2000 total? Anyone done that before?
Right after placing an order at 6x for visa gift cards, I got an email for 9x on visa gift cards. I also have 1.5% back on all my citi cards right now so I made two purchases of visa gift cards, 5x$250 each. I use these to buy GOC $200 on their site and at these earning rates it wipes out both purchase fees.
My 1.5% Citi offer is for max of $3, so only good on $200 in purchases.

For sure. Unfortunately after trying several times to get an order through I finally succeeded, and then it got cancelled a few hours later. I am putting them in the category of more trouble than they are worth.
Well, I placed an order and just got an email from Giftcards.com telling me that they canceled my order during the “verification process”. My offer was for 10% on the Capital One portal, and 7% on the Capital One Shopping app.
Yeah, I got 10x in offers and tried about 8 times to check out using my Venture X card and finally gave up. Even after answering the fraud alert notice it still wouldn’t process.
What are good uses of this?
They have hundreds of merchants so hard to pin it down. But in general the best usage will be for an upcoming purchase in a non-bonus category where you don’t care about credit card protections. I don’t like having gift cards sitting around unused because of gift card fraud so I only do it if I am going to use it immediately or it is a merchant where I can immediately credit the gift card to my account.
I got 9.5% but it’s not worth it to me.
If you click through on Capital One Shopping and then wait a bit you might get an offer for 10.5%.
Strange I am not seeing the miles offer in my account and I am also missing the upcoming viator offer and the oliplex offer for Tuesday. All 3 of these merchants aren’t even listed as eligible to earn miles on my capital one venture X shopping account. I can see all of the offers in my other capital one shopping account offer % back as gift cards though.
I’m in the same boat… Did you recently use another GiftCards.com offer? I did, and it’s not showing up for me today.
Not recently. About 1.5 years ago for maybe $1000. Never used plopped either. I did use Viator recently. Apparently capital one must be using targeting for all offers and thus it is truly ymmv.
Agreed. I also recently used their Viator offer. Now in “New Offers Revealed Daily”, I can’t see Viator available to me for Mon 7/27.
