Quick Thoughts

This offer only appears to be available on American Express Platinum cards® and only on the vanilla version—not the Schwab or Morgan Stanley versions.

It’s a good rebate on $350 spend as it gets you just over 20% back. It’s also helpful that it’s valid on cumulative spend, so if you have two or more cheaper rentals, you’ll still earn the $75 statement credit provided those multiple rentals total at least $350.

Note that only Corporate-owned locations are eligible, plus it’s only valid on rentals in the US.

Have it on Schwab.

But, is it worth the risk to use the card’s inferior CDW coverage?
