Nick & Stephen Speaking At Frequent Traveler University Virtual Seminar On Saturday (6/26)

11

If you don’t already have plans for this coming Saturday, here’s something to keep you entertained. June 26 sees the return of the latest Frequent Traveler University virtual seminars with Nick emceeing the event.

Greg was originally meant to be joining him for one of the sessions, but he’s not available. I’ll therefore be taking his place, so you’ll get to listen to my dulcet British tones instead 😉

Quick Thoughts

Note that all the times listed on the FTU website are PT. If you’re on the east coast, that means you don’t have to be up early because it kicks off at 8am PT. Nick and I are heading up the first session at 8:15am PT where we’ll be chatting about some of the cards that fly under the radar but which perhaps shouldn’t be ignored.

I’m a little disappointed at how excellent the rest of the lineup is. We’re due to check out of our hotel on Saturday at 11am MT, so unless we can get a late checkout (which, considering it’s an IHG property, I’m not overly optimistic about) I’ll miss the rest of the sessions and the virtual happy hour at the end. I’m hoping it’ll be possible to watch the sessions after the event because there’ll be a lot of useful information getting shared.

Stefan and Andy Solomon are discussing the subreddit r/churning. I’m not a Reddit person myself, but from the occasions I’ve seen stuff from there, it seems to be a mine of useful information that you won’t necessarily see discussed publicly otherwise.

The 10:30am PT session with Matthew Wood and Kathy Klass should be good too. I’ve been particularly enjoying Matt’s blog Miles Earn And Burn since I came across it a couple of months ago, so it’ll be interesting to see what he and Kathy will have to share.

The final session with Shabbir Hakim and Stephen Sun will be worth catching too. Despite running GC Galore, I’m sure there’s a lot I don’t know about gift cards and so there’ll no doubt be useful tips from their session as well.
