The Southwest shopping portal launched a new promotion yesterday and it’s far more generous than normal.
If you spend a cumulative $200 in one or more transactions through the portal, you’ll earn 2,000 bonus Rapid Rewards points.

- During the “Summer Bonus” offer, which runs from June 15, 2026 at 12:00 a.m. ET through June 29, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. ET (the “Bonus Period”), Rapid Rewards Shopping Member will earn a one-time bonus of 2,000 Rapid Rewards bonus points on qualifying purchases, in addition to the standard Rapid Rewards points earned from shopping online through Rapid Rewards Shopping.
- “Qualifying purchases” do not include returns, cancellations, shipping and handling, taxes, gift card, or other cash-equivalent purchases, and certain products that are not eligible for bonus points.
- This one-time bonus award will be determined based on Member’s cumulative qualifying purchases made during the Bonus Period: Earn 2,000 Rapid Rewards bonus points for qualifying purchases of $200 or more.
- Please allow up to 10 weeks after the Bonus Period for Rapid Rewards bonus points to post to your Rapid Rewards account.
- Bonus points will not count toward A-List, A-List Preferred, or Companion Pass® qualification.
Quick Thoughts
Airline shopping portal promotions generally award bonuses that are worth an effective 2X-5X on your spend, but usually on the lower end of that range. This new offer through the Southwest portal is therefore notable due to how generous it is. Earning an effective 10X Rapid Rewards points per dollar on $200 of spend is an excellent return that could make it very much worthwhile clicking through for your next online purchase(s).
It’s helpful that this promo is running for two full weeks as well, thereby making it even easier to hit the $200 spending threshold.
