Turkish Business Class for 33,750 miles from Dallas to Istanbul

6

God Save the Points reports on an awesome deal for those interesting in visiting Istanbul: Turkish Airlines is launching a new route from Dallas to Istanbul and from the route launch on September 24th to until March 23, 2022 they are offering this route for 22,500 miles in economy class or 33,750 miles in business class. That’s a steal for a 12-hour flight in business class and it is widely available as of the time of writing.

The Deal

  • Turkish Airlines is launching a new route from Dallas to Istanbul and from September 24 to March 23rd, this new route is pricing at just 22,500 miles in economy class or 33,750 miles in business class.

Quick Thoughts

Again, this is a steal. Turkish already has one of the very best deals for business class to Europe at 45,000 miles each way. Nabbing Dallas to Istanbul for just 33,750 miles one way in business class is about as good as it gets.

Taxes and surcharges are moderate at $170.70 one-way, but that is more than offset by paying less than 50% of what most programs would charge for an award ticket like this.

Turkish Miles & Smiles is a Citi transfer partner and a Capital One transfer partner, so it should be relatively easy to put together the miles for a trip. Miles transfer instantly from Capital One, but they take a day or three from Citi, so plan accordingly. You can call and put a flight on hold for up to 72 hours to wait for miles to transfer if necessary.

God Save the Points doesn’t list an end date for the promotion or travel window, but based on my searches I see this pricing available through March 23, 2022 and then economy goes up to 30,000 and business class to 45,000 one way. There’s no telling how long this intro sale will last.

If you want to continue on to other parts of Europe, you’ll pay the regular 45K price. However, if you’re interested in stopping in Istanbul, you may be better off booking separate awards depending on your ultimate destination. Keep in mind that Turkish may not be your best deal for intra-European flights (this varies some), but you can’t beat this deal to Istanbul.
