The 2024 Frequent Miler team challenge is almost upon us, with our initial live stream reveal set for Monday, June 3, 2024 at 9pm Eastern time. We’ll be going live on Youtube at that time for Carrie and Stephen to reveal to us the “Domestic Convergence” destination where Greg, Tim, and I will meet up to kick off this year’s challenge.

Our 2024 team challenge Flying by the Seat of our Points tested our last minute award booking skills with a series of last minute travel challenges assigned and judged by Stephen and Carrie. Over the span of a week, Greg, Nick, and Tim used their knowledge, points, elite standings, and even upgrade instruments to tackle each challenge with the best combination of frugality and luxury they could, all before the next assignments were given. Final Scores: Tim won this challenge by the seat of his points!

• Why: This year’s team challenge is a last-minute challenge where the judges, Carrie and Stephen, will be revealing destinations to Greg, Tim, and I and challenging us to use our points & miles knowledge to find the best way to get there. On Monday night, June 3rd, they will reveal our point of “domestic convergence”, which is where Greg, Tim, and I will meet face-to-face domestically on Wednesday, June 5th and meet a local travel challenge. Then, we’ll go live again on Wednesday night, June 5th and Carrie and Stephen will be revealing the “international divergence” destinations — each of us will have a separate international destination to reach by Friday, June 7th along with several local travel challenges to meet. Then, on Friday, we’ll find out yet another point in another country where the three of us will re-converge. All of this kicks off with the reveal for the domestic convergence point on Monday, June 3rd, so you’ll want to be live with us on Youtube to follow along!

We hope you are as excited as we are to get this year’s challenge underway. You can read more about the structure of the challenge in this post and we’ve each been publishing posts outlining what we’re doing to prepare (as I type this post, I am wearing a new merino wool shirt, which was something I identified getting in my own preparation post). It is a little unnerving knowing that I have no idea where I’ll be this time next week — if you share in our excitement, we’ll see you on Monday!
