Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City, NJ has long offered a status match for those with competing casino status all the way up to Ocean Prime status. We’ve covered that match pretty extensively in our post about How to get free cruises by gaming casino status matches. One of the other benefits of Ocean Prime status was a complimentary 2-night stay at Resorts World Las Vegas (I reviewed my complimentary stay at Conrad Las Vegas here). As of today (7/1/24), the partnership with Resorts World has ended, but some will be excited to see that Ocean is back to partnering with Wynn Las Vegas — so Ocean Prime members now get a complimentary 2-night stay at Wynn Las Vegas, which can be an incredibly valuable benefit.
The Deal
- Ocean Prime has ended its partnership with Resorts World Las Vegas and is now offering a complimentary 2-night stay at Wynn Las Vegas that comes with a $50 dining credit
- Direct link to more info
Key Terms
- Status match benefits valid from 7/1/24 to 6/30/25
Quick Thoughts
Wynn Las Vegas is one of the more expensive casino resorts on the Las Vegas Strip, so a complimentary two-night stay can be quite a valuable benefit. That is particularly true if you’re able to use the stay on a weekend, when rates in Las Vegas are frequently far more expensive.
Ocean Prime continues to include the complimentary MSC cruise, complimentary valet parking at Ocean Casino Resort, as well as some other benefits.
I recently stayed at Encore Las Vegas and loved the rooms on the Encore side of the resort. I’m not sure whether you get a choice, but I liked that the standard rooms at Encore where more like a “suite” (though I didn’t stay on the Wynn side, so I can’t compare the two).
My wife also highly preferred the spa on the Encore side of the resort. Either way, we’d be happy to stay at the Wynn / Encore complex again, particularly for free.
Note that Ocean allows players to match if they are new or have been inactive for 18 months or more (in other words, no play on your card in that time). Since we matched in March and April 2023, we’ll have to wait a few more months before we have an opportunity to match again.
Speaking of an opportunity to match, the most common matching flow for readers of this site is:
- Wyndham Earner Business card yields automatic Wyndham Diamond
- Match Wyndham Diamond to Caesars Diamond
- Match Caesars Diamond to Hard Rock Icon at Hard Rock Ocean City
- Match Hard Rock Icon to Ocean Prime
Note that Ocean will match Caesars Diamond Plus and Diamond Elite to Prime, but those levels of status require considerable play. You can also match MGM Platinum or Noir to Ocean Prime — but, again, those are not easy-to-get statuses.
If you have MGM Gold, I believe that you can also match that to Hard Rock Icon, though I haven’t kept up on those data points.
Overall, this is great news for those planning on Atlantic City matches. Also note that if you have matched to Ocean Prime between 3/1/24 and now, your Prime status should be automatically extended to 6/30/25 today and you would be able to take advantage of this benefit.

That a bummer, Resort World the credit for was $100 credit plus have aspire card that $200 to use total $300 little better then Wynn $50 now
I matched to Oceans Prime on 4/14/24 and got an email today that I have been downgraded to Oceans Preferred… I tried booking a cruise today and realized it… bad timing on my part.
did u call in to book & what MSC Rep say? not sure why OC shows Prime still for some but not for few others…
I called today, MSC said they have no records for my Oceans account # indicating a free cruise. I called Oceans today and they couldn’t give me an answer if status is extended until 2025 and recommended I go to the rewards desk to inquire… which is a 4 hour drive.
Don’t panic. I’d very much expect that will get fixed. I wouldn’t recommend beating your head against the wall over it on Day 1. Give it a few days.
My overly optimistic hope…
My Inside Cabin offer (for Preferred Status) should be added to my account soon. Once that offer is added, I’ll call Ocean and hopefully get my Prime status back. Then my Oceanview Cabin offer will be added and I’ll be able to use both offers.
lol, unless its system were to overlook the ‘1 sailing per calendar yr’ restriction
1 in late 2024, 1 in early 2025 🙂
didn’t sound good… for some folks, it would be again a long r/t flight from the west to east coast; won’t be surprised that some may choose not to return if can’t resolve via phone or email… anyway, hope it’s a system glitch & all will be corrected soon for ya
Anyone know if this would count towards a stay for the Wynn cruise benefit?
Does anybody know if the Hard Rock in Sacramento, CA will match Caesars Diamond to Hard Rock Icon?
Data point: I matched to Ocean Prime in March 2024 (from Hard Rock Icon) and expected my status to last through June 2025. As of today, my status was dropped to Ocean Preferred – I received an e-mail describing the benefits and the status change is reflected in the app. I haven’t called Ocean to inquire, but hopefully I can get a positive result.
Any idea if the complimentary stay will count towards one of the two stays needed for the Wynn free cruise?
Just as a DP, I tried matching Caesars DIamond to Hard Rock Icon at the Mirage (a Hard Rock property now) in Vegas this past week and was told that it’s not an option. It matches to the level below Icon.
Hopefully Atlantic City doesn’t take the same stance!
MGM GOLD matched to Icon at Mirage this week, but Mirage is closing ( maybealready closed??)
not closing till the 14th
Any confirmation it still works to match Ceasers diamond to hard rock icon in Atlantic City? See on hard rocks website you do need plus or elite status
Same thing a few months ago – Caesars Diamond and Wynn Platinum both matched to only Hard Rock Legend at the Mirage. I think your only option in Vegas is to get MGM Gold for that match to Icon.
Hopefully Atlantic City’s more generous match stays around.
