Since when does Chase Freedom only offer a specific restaurant as one of their categories? I believe usually it has usually been “Restaurants”. Who is going to eat $1,500 worth of McDonald’s in 3 months?
Can I buy gift cards online from cvs or walgreens and use paypal linked to my CFF to double dip on the 5x paypal + the 3x drug store? Not sure if the transaction is processed as drug store vs some 3rd party gift card store.
I don’t think CVS or Walgreens sells gift cards online. If they did and you checked out using PayPal, I think you’d only earn 5x.
It seems like they do but I’m not sure if it’s 3rd party. Regardless do you think itll work in store using PayPal to get both 5x and 3x?
Unfortunately not – the registration page states that PayPal purchases earn a total of 5% cash back.
so the 5% paypal quarterly bonus won’t stack with the basline 3% bonus for drug store purchases on the freedom flex?
what does – Select Charities – mean? Is there an approved list? or simply 501c3 tax designation?
That information wasn’t available the other day when I wrote this, but Chase has updated the activation site now with a list of eligible charities – I’ve just added them to the post above.
Can I pay taxes with Paypal linked to Chase Flex and at least get my credit card fee recovered ?
What a terrible collection of Bonus Categories
Paypal, Amazon, target? Easy max outs on multiple cards!
Not the best, but I can work with it.
I need a new set of tires for my car. So, I will use the Flex to order them, the company’s website uses PayPal. I will go to their sight through Rakuten or Chase Shopping portal. Win – Win. Now, if a Chase Offer shows up …. Dare to Dream!!!
