Need to Know
This seems to be a conversion from the previous product and not an entirely new product. Thus the normal rule of waiting 24 months between bonuses does seem to apply.

Does a Ritz Carlton Reserve hotel qualify as category 1-4 Ritz? Looking at the Phulay Bay in Krabi, Thailand. Can’t find a contact number anywhere. Thanks
With three free nights as the sign up, should we be concerned that hotels will start to take evasive maneuvers like what happened with the Wyndham program? When they gave away three nights as a bonus, their property in Hawaii quickly made it impossible to redeem them, and then changed brands.
Ah man just applied for and received the old version of this card (<10 days ago). Any hopes of them matching the the new offer and reissuing the card in favor of the Infinite?
According to the comments over at Doctor of Credit, the old card is being converted over even for current cardholders.

Does 5/24 rule apply? Any discussion of a Chase card should have this info upfront. I believe the previous Ritz card wasn’t affected.
Fair enough. As you know all info on the 5/24 rule is data point driven and we don’t have any data points on this card since it just came out today. As you pointed out the old card did not seem to be subject to 5/24. I would guess this one isn’t either, but time will tell. We just need to see what happens when people apply and report back.
New face…. Same bad earn on pretty much anything but a RC Stay….. Lipstick on a pig … Pretty expensive for a sock drawer card
A good card for those who stay at Ritz Carlton often or who really value Marriott/Ritz status and can utilize the lounge access and travel credit. Definitely not the best everyday card for most people.
Does the card offer lounge access? If so, at any property?
I am told by a source that the card still comes with 3 hotel lounge passes per year on paid stays but that isn’t on the main page, so we will have to wait for official clarification.
Is this card affected by the 5/24 rule ?? Thanks
The old Ritz Carlton card didn’t seem to be. My guess would be no, but everything is based on data points and we don’t know if anything has changed with its move to Visa Infinite.
