Quick Thoughts
It looks like this might be a targeted offer. When Nick and I logged in to our Citi accounts, we’re only seeing the regular 1,000:1,000 transfer ratio, rather than a 1,000:1,250 ratio.
One Mile At A Time is reporting on this transfer bonus though and some members of the Travel on Points Facebook group have received emails about this offer. The transfer bonus starts today, so the fact that Nick and I haven’t received emails about it and it’s not showing on our accounts suggests only select cardholders are eligible for this bonus.
If you have a particular redemption in mind, this could be a useful bonus. As always though, it’s generally best not to make speculative transfers, especially with rules regarding travel restrictions changing all the time.

This isn’t something that Citi ThankYou is promoting.
I can confirm the 25% Avianca Transfer bonus from Citi’s Thank You program applies to everyone. You will not see any mention of the bonus on Citi’s site as the deal is on Avianca’s side. I transferred 104,000 Thank You points today and 130,000 miles posted to my Avianca account instantly.
