Earlier this morning, we noted a card-linked offer out for Backcountry. There’s also a solid offer out for Allbirds at $100 back on $200 or more. This could stack nicely with portal rewards with Rakuten currently offering 15x, Retailmenot offering 20% back, and targeted Capital One Shopping rates recently exceeding 35% back for new customers.
The Deal
- Some Chase cardholders are seeing an offer for $100 cash back when they spend $200 or more at Allbirds
Key Terms
- Expires 12/31/24
Quick Thoughts
My wife found this offer on her Chase Sapphire Reserve card, but we didn’t find it on any other cards in our household.
I’ve been wearing Allbirds for the past year and have really come to like them quite a bit. I got mine at big discounts around the holidays last year (I paid around $50 a pair) and stacked with portal cash.
On that note, I’ve seen some great targeted rates from Capital One Shopping (I had an offer for 37% back the other day), though Capital One Shopping rates have the caveat that the high payout is only for new Allbirds customers — returning customers get a much lower rate through Capital One Shopping. I had my wife place an order figuring that she would be a new customer, but Allbirds must have excluded it by shipping address because we only got the “existing” customer rate.
Still, if you are able to stack something like 15x Membership Rewards points through Rakuten or 20-30% back through other portals, this could make for some great deals for those who need to order multiple pairs of shoes. I own two pairs that are lined with merino wool, which I like because they definitely do not pick up much odor even when I’ve been out walking around all day.
I saw this offer for Allbirds on my Sapphire Reserve. I immediately purchased shoes totaling $335. I went to my Chase account to see if the cash back had applied since it’s been several days, usually they give the offer credit quickly, and the offer is gone. I can’t find it on the Chase website anymore. Can someone check to see if if they see if on their account? It isn’t expired or used.
Sapphire Preferred has $50 off $125
How is this related to Miles and Travel Hacking? I hope this site will not turn into a Dan’s deal. Just an honest feedback even if it sounds negative…
We write about card-linked deals like this all the time and have written about Chase Offers, Amex Offers, and Citi Merchant offers and how to stack them with portals for years. This is a card-linked offer found on a popular travel card and it’s for a very significant discount on a popular travel gear brand. We don’t only write about miles – we write about miles and points, credit card rewards and benefits, and ways to stack deals. None of that is new. Not every post or deal is relevant for every reader, so certainly no offense taken if this one isn’t for you – but it’s certainly well within our wheelhouse.
Following up on this deal: I have a 20% rebate at allbirds through Rakuten, as well as the $100 off $200 on my Chase Sapphire Reserve. Just bought three men’s merino wool long-sleeve t-shirts, one women’s merino wool long-sleeve t-shirt and a pair of men’s merino wool shoes, all on sale, for $212. I will get 20% back on that amount from Rakuten ($42) and the $100 credit on my Chase card, so net cost was $70 + tax. Free shipping.
Chase Sapphire, spend $125 get $50 back offer as well.
Same, this offer appears to only be on the Chase Sapphire cards as our other Chase cards went 0/9.
They seem great but I need arch support. Do they have good arch support or is it just a lighter shoe that is less supportive?
Varies by style. I recommend the Wool Runners for the most support in a day-to-day style that is made of merino. I love allbirds and have bought many pairs in the past ten years. The wool ones are washable and also don’t get very stinky.
