There is a new Amex Offer out today that may be targeted that’s good for 20% back at northeastern grocery store chain ShopRite (up to $20 back, enrollment required). That’s a nice easy little win if you’re a ShopRite shopper.
The Deal
- There is a new Amex Offer out this morning good for 20% back (up to $20 back) at ShopRite both in-store or online at shoprite.com (enrollment required)
Key Terms
- Expires 9/30/21
- Includes in-store and online purchases at ShopRite.com (but this is not valid on orders from shopritedelivers.com)
- Excludes ShopRite Gas / Fuel / Convenience / Liquor Wine & Spirits stores
Quick Thoughts
Note the inclusion of online purchases but the exclusion of shopritedelivers.com. I assume this means that ordering online for grocery pickup is fine, but ordering from their website for delivery won’t work. That exclusion has existed on past offers as well and I imagine that it is indeed enforced because the website sometimes offers items one wouldn’t expect from a grocery store and it therefore wouldn’t surprise me if they are an entirely separate entity (I’ve bought android tablets and video game systems from shopritedelivers in the past, though it’s been years since I’ve looked at them).
Overall, this is an easy twenty bucks if you live in the ShopRite footprint, so it’s worth syncing it up and taking advantage.
It is targeted. I live in Southern California and don’t see it on my account. Recently I had an Amex offer for Gelson’s (small local grocery chain) so it appears that they target the offers based on where you live. Moral of the story is to check your Amex offers regularly, as you may get a locally targeted offer that you wouldn’t see on blogs or forums.
Which card did you find this offer on?
I saw it on my Business Gold and my personal Platinum. I didn’t check my other cards as I added to the Plat.
