This post is really a reminder to keep an eye on some of those “other” shopping portal deals that aren’t listed on Cashbackmonitor.com. Today shopping portal UPromise is offering 20% back at Under Armour and 18% cash back at Macys.com. That Under Armour rate is better than any rate in the past 15 months from the cash back portals at Cashbackmonitor (though also note that Alaska is offering 15x miles today and a current shopping portal bonus on top) and the Macy’s rate is also very competitive with the best we’ve seen. There are also some opportunities to stack – for example, there is a Chase Offer for Under Armour and a current coupon that could make for significant savings.
The Deal
- Some increased rates at the uPromise shopping portal, some of which stack with other promos
- Direct link to UPromise
Quick Thoughts
Like I said, this is really just a good reminder that goes along with the post we recently published about miles and money you may be missing. Sometimes, these “other” shopping portals have increased rates that are worth looking into.
For example, Under Armour is currently running a coupon for $30 off of $100 with code FRIENDS30. That is listed above at the portal, so it should stack with 20% cash back from UPromise. You could stack a further 5% back with the current (targeted) Chase Offer if you have it available. If you were able to get exactly $100 worth of merchandise, it should work out like this:
- $100 worth of merchandise
- -$30 with coupon code FRIENDS20
- $70 paid today
- -$14 cash back from UPromise
- -$3.50 cash back from Chase Offer
- $52.50 net cost
I’m not in the market for Under Armour gear and don’t know whether their site is priced competitively with other places to buy, but nearly half off the listed prices seems like it might make for a pretty good deal.
Keep an eye out for other similar stacking opportunities as we head into the home stretch on holiday shopping.
So a couple of things on this. BofA has some 10% off cashback deals for some accounts the expires today but usually returns. AA portal offers the typical holiday portal bonus but also has a 30 of 100 and another stacking deal off outlet items on top of the 15x miles per $1. Even at Underarmour’s inflated pricing, this can be a good deal.
