We typically only highlight card-linked offers for travel brands or stacking potential or occasionally at major retailers with mass appeal, but today I noticed an offer that seemed unique enough to be worth a highlight for those folks who can take advantage: a new Amex Offer is out that’s good for 20% back on purchases at medical equipment store Medifor.com (up to $100 back). This is a niche offer, but it could be particularly appealing if you have insurance that will reimburse the purchase price or you’re cashing out of an HSA to pay for stuff like this.

Quick Thoughts
I don’t know anything about Medifor or how its prices stack up against competitors, but we rarely see opportunities to earn any kind of bonus cash back on medical supplies, so it seemed worth reporting this one for anyone who may not have logged in and caught this but could take advantage.
I have no idea whether Medifor accepts any insurance or would qualify for reimbursement from some insurance plans, but it might be worth investigating if you can save up to a hundred bucks. I’m also not positive that purchases from Medifor could be covered with HSA money, though I don’t know why that wouldn’t be possible. Talk to your CPA with tax-related questions about how that works.
Note that they do offer some things that you might not immediately associate with “medical equipment” like sit-stand desks, computer carts, and sound machines. YMMV as to what is worthwhile / well-priced.
While I don’t anticipate this offer being useful for me personally, hopefully it helps someone save a few bucks.
I got my iron lung there but AA wouldn’t let me on the plane because we were still trying to get it to fit in a row of first class . Something about 36 inch seat pitch I think
