Valid through 10/4/2014:
Find this coupon in your mperks account. Frugalhack.me has the details here.
I went to two Meijer’s, but found neither had $200 gift cards. They weren’t out. Apparently, they just don’t carry them. The $100 grey visa cards were behind the registers (in with the cigarettes and tobacco), so the cashier had to ring them up for me. In the morning, they tried to sell me two different cards until I went behind the register to show them.
In any event, it’s one coupon per mperks account, but…you can open additional accounts.
So, this can not be done online?
I don’t think so
No, Meijer is not hard coded for gift cards. I buy there and have never had an issue. And you can use the self checkout also.
In the past, only debit cards have worked. Meijer registers are hard coded.
I wonder if that’s new or location specific, because I bought 2 – $200 gift cards at a Meijer in Wyoming ~two weeks ago with a CC. It was at a self checkout. I haven’t made it to Meijer for this promotion yet, but I’ll report back when I do.
In my experience, all fixed value gift cards can be bought with a credit card (or even with a Meijer gift card), but variable load gift cards are cash or debit only. Mel, when did you last try?
I just bought my gift cards and I didn’t have any issue using a credit card.
Good to hear. Thanks.
