Quick Thoughts
Depending on the retailer, this double miles promotion has the potential to offer great value. The Avios portal frequently has the highest rate at certain retailers, so earning double miles is a sweet deal.
For example, their standard rate for GoDaddy is 15 Avios per dollar, so that’ll be doubled to 30 Avios during the promotion period. That’s an excellent return on domain names and hosting plans seeing as the next highest rate is 15% on Top Cashback.
Other potential great rates include Etsy (8 Avios), Petco (10 Avios), Vistaprint (16 Avios), iTunes (14 Avios) and Overstock (14 Avios). That’s assuming that none of these sites are among the selected retailers that are excluded from the promotion.
I’ve earned almost 20,000 Avios over the past year – with many of those being earned during these double miles promotion periods – so it can be reasonably lucrative.
