We wrote earlier today about an eBay promotion to save 15% off site-wide with coupon code PLAN2SAVE when checking out via the eBay Mobile App. The maximum discount is $50 and that promotion would stack with 5x that can be earned when checking out via PayPal with a Chase Freedom card if you have not yet maxed out this quarter’s bonus category (which includes PayPal). There is currently a good deal available on the GoPro HERO6 that becomes excellent when stacking those deals (or perhaps if you have eBay gift cards to use). I’ve written in the past about how I enjoy my GoPro for travel and hotel room photos (see that expired deal for some pictures) – this is a solid deal on a newer model. However, the coupon code will only be good until 4pm Eastern time on 4/26, so you’ll have less than an hour from the time this posts to take advantage of this deal.

The Deal

  • GoPro HERO6 on sale at eBay for $359.99 – 20% off ($50 max discount) with coupon PLAN2SAVE via mobile app = $309.99 + 1,550 Ultimate Rewards points with this quarter’s Freedom bonus category (PayPal)

Quick Thoughts

The seller on this GoPro is 6ave. Northern New Jersey residents might remember 6ave Electronics as a brick & mortar electronics store that was sometimes more affectionately known as “sketch ave electronics”, though my experiences with them back in the day were all positive (my TV is still a Panasonic plasma I bought from them about 10 years ago). However, the brick & mortar store eventually went out of business and I believe they sold off the licensing for the name years ago. I haven’t continued to follow them in the years since, but they have plenty of eBay feedback that I’d feel confident enough about buying from them.

A quick glance at Google Shopping shows this camera going for $399.99 almost everywhere else.

The $359.99 price is already low comparatively. Coupon code PLAN2SAVE drops a max of $50 off, so your total would be $309.99 if you check out via the eBay mobile app and apply the coupon before 4pm Eastern time (4/26 only). When you add in more than 1,500 Ultimate Rewards points, the final net cost on this camera is very competitive. You should also be able to stack a couple of dollars cash back via the Ibotta app (feel free to use my referral link if you’re new to Ibotta – thanks), though I wouldn’t waste much time signing up if you’re seeing this close to 4pm.

Overall, this is a solid deal on a popular travel-related item. I haven’t looked at the resale market, but you might even be able to come close to breaking even with this much of a discount.
