45x / 60% back at Skechers, deals coming for StubHub and Turkish Airlines via Capital One Shopping and Offers

2

Capital One Shopping (a public shopping portal that anyone can join) and Capital One Offers (which are only found within a Capital One card account) are both offering terrific returns today at Skechers. I’m seeing 45x miles on our Venture X card via Capital One Offers within our Capital One account. Alternatively, I initially saw 45% back via my Capital One Shopping home page, though I clicked around on the Skechers website, and about 50 minutes later, I received a targeted offer for 60% back.

Perhaps of even greater interest for some is that Thursday, Friday, and Saturday of this week, we are set to see offers from StubHub, Apple, and Turkish Airlines, so keep an eye on your accounts in the coming days.

The Deal

  • Capital One Offers (for credit card holders) and Capital One Shopping (open to anyone) are offering elevated rewards today at Skechers as follows:
    • Capital One Offers: 45x miles
    • Capital One Shopping: 45-60% back
    • Note that your mileage may vary: there are sometimes higher or lower targeted rates on the market, so you’ll need to check your accounts.

Key Terms

  • Elevated rates valid today only
  • Capital One Shopping users may get a higher targeted rate by clicking around the website and leaving (keep an eye on your email afterwards)

Quick Thoughts

Skechers isn’t a “travel” brand, but I thought this offer was worth sharing, given the huge mileage multiplier / generous percentage back. A couple of years ago, I tried out Skechers Slip-ins thanks to a Capital One Shopping offer and loved them. My wife and I have now bought several pairs each, taking advantage of elevated Capital One Shopping offers each time. I wouldn’t pay full sticker price, but if I were in the market for another pair, the return here would probably move the needle for me. The rate being offered by Capital One far eclipses what I see at other portals today.

Perhaps of even broader interest is the fact that Capital One Shopping and Capital One Offers are advertising elevated returns later this week on several even more popular brands:

  • Thursday, 3/26: StubHub
  • Friday, 3/27: Apple
  • Saturday, 3/28: Turkish Airlines

We don’t yet know what the percentages will be on those deals, but it will certainly be worth keeping an eye on your accounts later this week. I’ll be checking out the chance to use a StubHub credit on Thursday if the offer is appealing.

As noted at the top, I was only targeted for 45% back when I went to the Capital One Shopping website. Rather than click through that, I went directly to the Skechers website in the browser where I have the Capital One Shopping extension installed, and I clicked around and added a pair of shoes to my cart, but navigated away without making a purchase. Less than an hour later, I had an email with a targeted offer for 60% back. We often see Capital One Shopping send targeted email offers like that based on your browsing history, so if you are a Capital One Shopping user and you haven’t received a good email offer today, it might be worth giving that a shot.

I only see the Stubhub offer on the public Capital One shopping portal. For the card linked portal, I see Temu in place of Stubhub.

Much smaller deal, but I also had a Capital One Offer for Sling TV. Basically, 5000 points for signing up for a monthly plan (cheapest plan is $46), effectively buying points at less than 1cpp.
