There’s another targeted Alaska Airlines BankAmeriDeal (and possibly Chase Offer) doing the rounds which gives 10% back on up to $450 spend with the airline.
The Deal
- Earn 10% back on all your Alaska Airlines airfare purchases when spending $50+ per purchase with a targeted BankAmeriDeal/Chase Offer.
Key Terms
- Expires May 1, 2024.
- Maximum $45 cash back.
- Payment must be made directly with the merchant.
- Offer not valid on Alaska Lounge airport purchases, purchases made with Mileage Plan points, gift card purchases, or in-flight purchases.
Quick Thoughts
With a limit of $45 cashback, you’ll max this out when spending up to $450 on flights. Seeing as it’s valid on multiple purchases, it won’t matter if you book tickets for multiple people in one transaction and payment is processed separately.
What’s the Chase deal?
I did the 10% off offer a few weeks ago, so I only received the 5% off for today. 5% is not worth it.
Not worth what? 5% of free money isn’t “worth” having, even though it’s all upside with no strings attached?
I booked a dummy AS flight for around $450 last time to max out the 10% offer and then cancelled the ticket 24 hours later and sent the funds to my AS wallet. It’s not worth the effort for just 5% cash back ($450 x 5% = $22.50). Hopefully I will be targeted for the 10% offer next round.
I got the offer on my Alaska card. Measly 5%.
I added this BofA offer which has since expired. I purchased airfare >$50, but never received the credit. The offer is now in the Expired bucket and not in Earned.
not good to hear… did the booking get cancelled? if not, did u raise issue as why no credit?
Booking is still valid, as I fly this week. I couldn’t find a “Contact us” link. Plus, the FAQs says to wait for 30 days after redemption. I was going to book with Alaska regardless, so not a huge loss. My offer expired on 6 Oct so I’ll wait a couple more weeks.
any folks happen to know if BoA won’t claw back cr if booking gets cancelled
If you cancel your flight after 24 hours, you will get an Alaska Airlines travel credit. The purchase will still show on your Bank of America credit card and Bank Of America will have no idea that you canceled the ticket. Therefore, you will still get the cash back from the offer.
I would eat my hat if this were a Chase deal.
