The Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan Shopping portal has a “Mystery Bonus” offer this week. My offer is for 500 bonus miles if I spend $100 or more through the portal this week. I suspect that most if not all members will be targeted with the same offer, but it’s always worth checking to see if you get a better / different offer.

The Deal

  • The Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan shopping portal is offering a “Mystery Bonus” for purchases made from April 1-8, 2024.
  • Direct link to this deal

Key Terms

  • During the “Mystery Bonus” offer, which runs from 4/1/2024 through 4/8/2024 at 11:59:59 pm ET (the “Bonus Period”), Member will receive a one-time bonus of 500 Mileage Plan™ bonus miles on qualifying purchases made through the Mileage Plan™ Shopping mall or from purchases made through Mileage Plan™ Shopping in-store offers.
  • This one-time bonus award will be determined based on Member’s cumulative qualifying purchases made during the Bonus Period: 500 miles for qualifying purchases of $100 or more.
  • “Qualifying purchases” do not include returns, cancellations, shipping and handling, taxes, gift card or other cash equivalent purchases, and certain products that are not eligible for bonus miles.
  • Please allow up to 10 weeks after the Bonus Period for bonus miles to post to your Mileage Plan™ Shopping account. Void where prohibited by law.

Quick Thoughts

Don’t forget to consider these miles when comparing shopping portal payouts. You can effectively get an extra 5 miles per dollar spent if you spend exactly $100 through the portal.

This portal offer isn’t big enough to make a big difference in my shopping habits, but I’ll certainly keep the extra miles in mind should I need to make a purchase where the bonus makes the Alaska portal my best option.
