BeFrugal has temporarily increased their portal payout rates on American Express gift cards. Unlike some recent offers, this one applies to both the personal and business versions of these cards.
The BeFrugal site doesn’t have an expiration date listed for this offer, but in the past similar deals have been for one day only. If you don’t already have a BeFrugal account, you can find a signup link and many other cool things here.
Notes
- Do not use a promo code to reduce gift card fees or for free shipping since that will invalidate your cash back (the Premium Shipping Plan is fine, though).
- Do not buy denominations higher than $2,000 (see: $2K denomination limit on Amex gift card cash back)
- Do not pay with Citibank credit cards since they sometimes charge cash advance fees.

Be Frugal takes so FRIGGIN long to payout that it’s not worth the extra .5%. I’d rather go to Top Cash Back instead of waiting over 2 months for Be Frugal to confirm money, and then wait ANOTHER freaking month after requesting payment. It’s ridiculous.
You might be able to get Top Cashback to match BeFrugal.

Arrival still good to use or coding as cash advance?
Man no citi…was planning on meeting the 3k Premier buying Amex gift cards. I guess Ill just buy visa gift cards at safeway and load em on target amex card.
Hello – Do you know if we should be able to load Serve online directly with Amex gift cards? The website says nothing about this, so I doubt it… I’d prefer not have to purchase Visa GC with the Amex gift cards… Now that Google Wallet has closed the option to use them as payment for a 2.9% fee, I don’t really have any use for Amex gift cards…Ideally, I’d like to keep all my transactions online…. Any additional insights? Thank you!
No unfortunately you cannot use Amex gift cards to load Serve online or in-store.
