Update 9/26/24: When we first attempted sharing these referrals in July, we had repeated issues with them erroring, so we gave up and defaulted back to the lower, 90K offer.
However, this offer is still hanging around on some folks’ accounts and we rarely give up easily, so we’re going to give it another shot. If you have a VERIFIED (please read below) 100K + 20% link, please share it with us using the Facebook link in this post. DO NOT leave it in the comments, it will be deleted. DO NOT share with us a link that you haven’t confirmed using the method below…just because it’s showing 100K for you on your computer in a couple of browsers doesn’t mean it will display that way for everyone.
Happy Hunting!

Not only did the Amex Gold card get a slew of new credits today, but there’s also a new referral offer out that awards 100,000 Membership Rewards points after meeting minimum spending requirements and gives 20% back at restaurants worldwide for 6 months (up to $100 back).
This offer DOES have Amex’s “once-in-a-lifetime” language, as well as the newly-increased annual fee of $325.
We’ll be collecting reader referral links for those who were targeted so we can share them with others on our Best Offers Page. The details on how to participate with your link (if you are targeted) are below.
PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE A LINK IN THE COMMENTS OF THIS POST – IT WILL BE DELETED BY OUR SPAM FILTERS

We want your 100K offer referral links
Here at Frequent Miler, our Best Credit Card Offers page always links to the best available welcome offer, even if that’s not an affiliate link. The best offer for the Amex Gold card through affiliate channels is currently only 60,000 Membership Rewards points, that’s why you’ll see many other points and miles sites hawking that inferior version.
However, we always present the best offer for new applicants, even when it doesn’t benefit our site through affiliate commissions. We want to share the wealth by using readers’ referral links on the site. We will need reader links for the 100K offer.
If you’d like to have your referral link shared on the Best Offers page, here’s what you need to do:
Step 1: Check your referral link
Only some Gold card holders can refer to this new offers. We need reader links, but only those targeted to refer directly to this new offer. The best way to know if you are targeted is to log in to your Amex account and scroll to the bottom to click the link that says “refer a friend” (You can also find it here).
Then choose your Gold card from the menu at the top. That page will show what offer your friend will get when they use their link. If it says that your friend will receive 60,000 points after $6K in purchases in the first 6 months, you are not targeted to refer to this new best offer.
Note that even if you only see 60K there in your Amex login, it is still possible that your friend will click through your link and see a 100K offer sometimes. However, the link will not always populate the 100K offer unless your Amex login says that your friend will receive 100K points. We can only use links on our best offers page that always populate the 100K offer.
Step 2: Join the Frequent Miler Insiders Facebook group
If you’re already part of our Facebook group, you can skip this step. If you’re not a member though, you’ll need to join this group. Note that you’ll be asked a question or two (depending on if you try joining on mobile or desktop) to ensure you’re not a bot. Please answer that question(s), otherwise you won’t get admitted to the group in order to do step 3.
Step 3: Share your link on the dedicated thread
We have a dedicated thread set up to share your 100K link, so please only share your referral links here as a reply to the first comment. We’ll then work our way through the links for as long as this increased offer is only available via referrals. We will rotate through links there regularly to try to give as many readers as possible a chance at picking up a referral bonus.
Please don’t share your referral link as an individual post in the group as it’ll just get deleted. Please also don’t share a non-100K referral link as that’ll get deleted too.
Comments on the blog with links automatically get caught in our spam filter and will not post. Instead, the above Facebook thread is the only place we’ll be accepting referral links (sorry if you’re not on Facebook).
I bring you *up to* 100k (when you spend 6k in 6 months.) Pretty good deal. Not the best because it doesn’t include any additional perks like the Resy cash back. I bought in at like 80k, so I think 100k is still a steal.
Unfortunately, the “up to” part is a huge bummer, as it’s essentially a targeted offer and you don’t find out what you actually get until after you apply and are approved (but before you accept). I’ve heard of people getting as low as 60K when using an “up to” link. We can’t use any of these on the best offers page because they don’t give the same offer to everyone who applies.
These things stink and I hope Amex stops using them soon.
[…] Update 9/27/24: Showing more reliably again. Hat tip to FM […]
I prefer the resy offer of 75K but the 20% restaurant is for $250. Others may prefer this offer, especially if they can refer to another.
That interesting, since you’re effectively swapping $150 in restaurant cashback for 25K Membership Rewards, which values MR at around 0.6 cents each.
If that’s where you’re at with Membership Rewards value, it might be worth looking at some of the cash back offers out there in lieu of getting more MR. There’s some good ones right now.
I have the 100k offer. Just need to be admitted to the FB group
I have a 100k gold offer!!!!!
Can you please give us the link? I had it too but lost it 🙁
Come on, stop forcing us to use Facebook, y’all.
It’s not what the cool kids use anymore 🙂
Hey, we never claimed to be cool.
You could set up a Gopher server.
It is so frustrating that you need to be on Facebook for this, why can’t you guys make a members section on the website or something that doesn’t require sending people to Facebook?
No doubt it is much easier for them to use Facebook, so I don’t blame them.
I hate Facebook, but when I started getting into points and miles I realized I was probably missing out on hundreds of dollars in benefits every year by not being on Facebook. The Frequent Miler insider group by itself is worth quite a bit. So I had to ask myself, do I really hate Facebook THAT much?
The answer is: Yes, I hate Facebook that much. But I still don’t blame them for using it.
I am also seeing 10k MR if I add authorized user ( only 10k max , spend 2k in 6 months). Is this good deal or should I wait for better deal for authorized user card?
Went in with private mode on Firefox, got the 90k offer at AMEX website; no referral required.
Does this offer have family language?
Yes it does have family language
1. Is that cap on the dining cashback per transaction?
2. Why is the sign up bonus so like compared to the business gold?
3. I still like Delta Airlines
Mine has the higher bonus
No, it doesn’t. When I looked at it, it showed 60K. Many links will show various things for various people in various browser setups. The only way to find out if you have a targeted link is by using the instructions in the post.
Also, the only way for us to use one of your links (if you are targeted) is by following the instructions in the post. Leaving them in comments will get caught by our spam filters (which we say repeatedly in bold letters).
I just checked, mine is only 60K
My SUB is 100k points after 6k spend in 6 months + the 20% back on dining up to $100
All of the 90k links (and many 60K links) seem to be showing 100k within certain browser combinations or for certain people. We’re still listing it at 90K as that will appear for everyone (we think).
