Costco is offering a $500 Alaska Airlines gift card for $449.99. We saw this deal a couple of times in 2024, but this is the first time it’s been back this year, as far as I know.
Unfortunately, these are only available in-store and can’t be purchased online. They often aren’t available in Seattle-area Costcos either. (h/t: DOC)

Quick Thoughts
This can be good deal for anyone else who pays for Alaska travel. These cards can be loaded into your account as wallet funds and used to pay for all or a portion of a companion fare (awarded as anniversary bonuses on the Alaska Credit Cards), potentially making them an even better value. The downside is not being able to earn 3-5x on the airfare purchase, unless you use tap-to-pay with US Bank Altitude Reserve.

I have an Alaska visa. Can I use the gift card to pay for most of my flight, use the visa to pay for a little, and still get priority boarding/free checked bag/possible use of companion fare? Thanks!
Yes, I paid the majority (but not all) of the fare using the wallet funds (loaded from the gift cards) and was able to use the companion fare.

Use your Ink Cash to buy fee free Visa gift cards at Staples and then head to your local Costco and buy the Alaska cards with them.

They are pretty plentiful throughout California (San Diego, Orange County, and San Francisco Bay Area), hopefully the make it to Portland and Seattle locations too.
Has the item number perhaps changed? The post just above yours reports in stock at Clackamas, OR, but the App doesn’t show it as in-stock there.
In the Costco app, did you search for item 1888636 in the warehouse inventory section? It doesn’t show as in stock in the Clackamas, OR store.
