The Capital One Shopping portal has been significantly boosting the cashback rate for a different retailer each day for several weeks and we’ve seen some incredible offers.
There’s yet another amazing offer for today (November 4) only as you can earn 25.5% back on hotel stays booked with TripAdvisor and a whopping 65% back on activities. These appear to be targeted rates, but you might be able to get excellent rates via Capital One Offers too.

The Deal
- Earn 65% back on activities and 25.5% back on hotel bookings with TripAdvisor booked via Capital One Shopping.
Key Terms
- Expires November 4, 2025.
- Limit $5,000 back.
Quick Thoughts
65% back on activities and 25.5% back on hotel bookings are incredible rates, especially with an increased limit of $5,000 back (i.e. $7,692 spend for activities and $19,608 for hotels). Unfortunately there’s no guarantee that you’ll see rates boosted this high, plus the maximum cashback you can earn might be lower than $5,000.
Capital One Shopping has long offered a wealth of different cashback rates depending on where you’re clicking through from. For example, you could see different rates based on clicking from:
- The homepage of the Capital One Shopping website
- A different section of the homepage of the Capital One Shopping website
- The search bar of the Capital One Shopping website
- The Capital One Shopping app home page
- The Capital One Shopping app search bar
- An app notification
- An email regarding the specific retailer
- An email regarding an unrelated retailer, but which has boosted rates for other retailers as you scroll down
- A popup from the Capital One Shopping browser extension
While these various methods can be good because they perhaps increase your chances of getting a higher rate, it can also be a little frustrating that there’s no uniform rate.
In this instance, I’m seeing 22.5% on activities and 8.5% on hotel stays when going directly to the home page of the website. However, I received a targeted email from Capital One Shopping this morning offering a 20% boosted rate for IHG based on me recently visiting that website. Within that email was the 65%/25.5% TripAdvisor offer as today’s deal of the day. If I wanted to book something at that rate, I’d therefore need to click through from that specific email.
Even if you don’t see an offer that high, it’s worth checking Capital One Offers if you have a Capital One card. As a reminder, Capital One Shopping is available for anyone, regardless of whether or not you have a Capital One credit card. Capital One Offers on the other hand is only available for cardholders and can be accessed when logging in to your account. If you have a Capital One card that earns miles rather than cashback, clicking through from Capital One Offers means you’ll earn transferable miles rather than cashback.
Capital One Offers has been running the same deal of the day-type promos as Capital One Shopping, albeit at different rates. For TripAdvisor today, I’m seeing 30x miles for activities and 11x miles for hotels. While those rates aren’t as eye-catching as 65% and 25.5% respectively, the fact that you’ll be earning transferable miles rather than cashback that can only be redeemed for a selection of third party gift cards might be preferable.
Another thing to be aware of with these daily boosted rates is that Capital One seems to (sometimes?) adjust the rates throughout the day, potentially decreasing as the day goes on. That happened with the Capital One Offers rate for Hotels.com recently, so if you see a high rate – particularly with Capital One Offers – it might be best to book there and then rather than come back to it later, only to find a lower rate available.

I got targeted for 70% back in activities and 27.5% on hotels
