Cardless is on a bit of an airline credit card acquisition spree. In addition to the upcoming launch of a couple of new Qatar Airways credit cards, they’ve announced today that they’ll be launching two new Avianca LifeMiles credit cards in May as well.
Details of the new cards are scant at the moment, but similar to the Qatar Airways credit cards you can join a waitlist for the new Avianca cards. If you join that waitlist and apply for one of the new cards within four weeks of them going live, you’ll earn an additional 5,000 bonus miles for the standard credit card or 10,000 bonus miles for the Elite credit card. That’s on top of whatever their standard welcome offer bonuses will be.
We don’t have a definite launch date for these cards, but Cardless has advised that they’ll be available in “late May”. Credit card perks, welcome offers, annual fees, etc. haven’t been provided yet, but we’ll provide those details once they’re available. In the meantime, if you’ll have any kind of interest in these cards that’ll run on the American Express network, it’d be worth joining the waitlist. Doing that doesn’t obligate you to apply for one of the cards once they’re available, but it does mean you’ll earn the additional LifeMiles provided you apply within four weeks of their launch.
Seems like there’s a 6/18ish deadline for getting the extra 10k…
I had signed up for the wait-list and I see that the card application is now available at
https://lifemiles.cardless.com/ but, I didn’t get any email for the additional 10k points.
I’m guessing this will also apply to the max 5 Amex rule
It won’t affect that; although it’s on the Amex network, it’s not a card actually issued by Amex directly and so it won’t affect that.
Stephen, any comment to the post from Miles for Family that you can only have one cardless card, ever?
I hadn’t seen that – we’ll have to have a look into that. Thanks for the heads up.
