Choice Privileges and Bluegreen Vacations have released another timeshare presentation offer that gets you a three-night stay and your choice of 40,000 Choice points or a $200 Mastercard gift card for $199. The points or cash alone are worth more than the price, so if you can use one of the stays (and are steel-willed in the face of a timeshare sales rep), this could be an appealing deal.
The Deal
- Get a 3 night hotel stay + your choice of 40,000 Choice Privileges points or a $200 Mastercard gift card for $199 from Bluegreen Vacations.
Key Terms
- Must attend a two-hour Bluegreen Vacations timeshare sales presentation and tour
- Must have a household income of at least $50K (may be waived if one of a cohabiting couple is 62 years old or older), creditworthy (minimum score of 600) and have a valid personal credit card bearing a MasterCard, Visa, American Express, or Discover logo.
Quick Thoughts
This is a decent deal, as $199 gets you a three night vacation plus 40,000 Choice Privileges points or a $200 MC gift card. The points are worth ~$265, so this could be a worthwhile opportunity if you also want to spend three nights at any of the eligible locations, which include Myrtle Beach, Wisconsin Dells, Smoky Mountains, Orlando, Las Vegas and New Orleans.
Nick attended one of these Bluegreen Vacations timeshare presentations with his wife and two children and made out like a fedora-wearing bandit because, in addition to the rewards for attending the presentation, they put him up at one of Marriott’s brands – not Choice’s – and he was able to earn bonus points and double elite night credits, as well as getting elite benefits during his stay. YMMV on that last part, but it’s worth being aware of the opportunity in case you’re able to put together something similar.
Something that always bears repeating on these timeshare posts – don’t take advantage of this kind of offer unless you’re certain you can withstand the sales pressure tactics and will be able to decline their most wonderful, one-of-a-kind, stupendous, I’m giving you my first born child, don’t tell the manager I’m giving you this incredible deal, you’re robbing me blind pitches.
