Citi has launched another transfer bonus today, this time offering a 25% bonus when transferring ThankYou points to Avianca LifeMiles.

Quick Thoughts
LifeMiles recently devalued award redemptions on many of their routes, so this transfer bonus means that in many cases you won’t get as far as you could have a few weeks ago. However, it’s still possible to get some decent value by transferring your ThankYou points to LifeMiles.
For example, the newly increased award redemption rate from the US to Europe is 80,000 miles one way in business class. That means you’ll only need to transfer 64,000 ThankYou points for those redemptions. As Nick discovered though, some routes between the US and Europe are still only 69,000 miles one way in business class. If you can find availability on one of those routes, that would only require 56,000 ThankYou points transferred over. (n.b. in theory you’d only need to transfer 55,200, but you can only transfer in 1,000 point increments).
Seeing as this transfer bonus is around for four weeks, there’s no need to transfer speculatively right now, so only send over ThankYou points to LifeMiles at the moment if you have an immediate booking need.
