Delta Amex Offers: Spend $500/$1000 & Get $100/$200 Back

4

New Delta Amex Offers are appearing for some cardholders, offering decent savings. The primary version I’ve seen is: get $100 after $500+ in spend, or $200 back on $1,000+ in spend. There are always multiple variations of these items, so let us know if you see a different one and which card it’s on. (h/t: DOC)

These offers appear to be highly targeted, so it’s worth checking all your cards. My wife and I were 0/bazillion.

The Deal

There are at least two new Amex Offers that provide cash back on Delta purchases:

  • Spend $500+ with Delta in one or more purchases & get $100 back
  • Spend $1000+ with Delta in one or more purchases & get $200 back

Key Terms

  • Expires April 30th, 2026.
  • Offer valid for purchases made directly with Delta Air Lines through U.S. delta.com, via Fly Delta U.S. App, and U.S. reservation telephone line.
  • Flights must originate in the U.S., including U.S. territories, in order to qualify.
  • Offer valid only for purchases where Delta Air Lines is the merchant of record, such as airfare, fare upgrades, seat selection fees, baggage fees, standby fees, and Delta Sky Club® memberships.
  • Excludes the following: (i) purchases in-person at the airport where Delta is not the merchant of record, lounges, and sales offices, (ii) all purchases on-board flights including food, beverage, and WiFi, (iii) stand alone hotel bookings and car rentals through delta.com, (iv) purchases through third parties or affiliated agents, and (v) Delta Vacations, Delta Dive, Delta Cargo, On Demand Charter services, Delta Flight Museum, SkyMiles Marketplace purchases, SkyMiles Experiences, SkyMiles Cruises, Delta Meeting Network, (vi) travel insurance/trip protection, gift card purchases, and charitable donations.
  • Valid only on purchases made in US dollars.

Quick Thoughts

Once upon a time, it was possible to buy Delta gift cards through a specific link to lock in the discount. Unfortunately, that’s no longer an option because all Delta gift card purchases online are processed by CashStar. Still, this is a good offer if you need to book any Delta flights in the coming months.

It seems to be fairly targeted. I checked both my wife and my cards, and we’re 0-30, and I’ve seen lots of other folks who’ve been left to pound sand as well.

If you are lucky enough to have this offer, there is one hoop to jump through that could be slightly irritating: the flights must originate in the US. That said, many folks have been able to apply these to other flights by booking a main cabin flight that meets the terms and then cancelling it after 24 hours to retain a Delta flight credit. If going this route, note that the resulting flight credit will be valid for only one year.

A bazillion? That’s a lot of annual fees.

I just opened and received my first Amex card two weeks ago (my P2 had the business card for years) and I got the $200 offer.
