Quick thoughts
While the sale is being advertised as round trips starting from 12,000 miles, I’ve found some routes available for even less. For example, here are round trips from Portland to San Francisco for 11,000 round trip.
Though note that if you choose to travel one-way, they’ll up the price to 6,500 each way.
There’s even decent availability on some transcontinental routes. Here’s one-way from Seattle to New York City in May:
Whether you’re a Seatteite or Portlander looking to get away this spring or you’re looking to head to the Pacific Northwest, this sale has some good value in it and might be worth a look. As a reminder, Delta is a transfer partner of American Express Membership Rewards and SPG.

[…] Airlines has responded to Delta’s award flash sale with a sale of their own, sending out an email with some nice deals like San Francisco to Dallas […]
And Alaska has countered with their own award sale. Mostly higher prices than Delta, but a few gems are in there.
I’ve never understood Delta’s award flash sales given that they…don’t actually have an award chart. I’m a Delta loyalist, but they sometimes make me raise my eyebrows.
Not seeing anything close to the quoted prices from Philadelphia; I also checked DTW, which is a Delta hub, and even there the lowest prices are around 26,000. Shame, too – I have a friend in Portland I’ve been wanting to visit, and I’d absolutely have jumped on it if the price had actually been what they advertised.
Nothing from STL, MCI, SGF, TUL.
and of course i see NYC as an example after i post that :/
only to NYC. not from.
I see flights from NYC to Seattle for 11K one-way every day from Tues-Sat April 17th through May 5th and then scattered in May (May 8, 9, 11, 15, 16). That availability will surely change as the day goes on, but as of 8:57am Eastern, I see a lot of dates with the low-level availability out of NYC traveling to Seattle at least.
must mostly be left coast only. nothing of note around ATL except high award prices most dates
