2

Delta is running a promotion at the moment for SkyMiles members where you can earn up to 2,600 bonus SkyMiles as well as a $50 Delta gift card through activities with some of its partners including Starbucks.

Delta SkyMiles promo partner earnings

The Deal

  • Delta is offering rewards through the following partner activity:
    • Starbucks – Link your SkyMiles and Starbucks Rewards account, then reload your Starbucks card to earn 100 bonus SkyMiles in addition to standard earning rates
    • SkyMiles Dining – Join SkyMiles Dining & spend $30+ at a participating restaurant, link a debit or credit card, opt in to emails and review the restaurant to earn 1,500 bonus SkyMiles
    • Delta Cars – Complete a Delta Cars rental booking of $400+ (excluding taxes and fees) and earn 1,000 bonus SkyMiles
    • Complete all three tasks before October 5, 2025 to earn a $50 Delta gift card
  • Direct link to offer.

Key Terms

  • To participate in this promotion, SkyMiles Members must first enroll in the Spring 2025 Multi Partner Promotion at the Promotions tab under your SkyMiles profile between June 5, 2025, and July 5, 2025 (the “Registration Period”). After enrolling, between June 5, 2025 and October 5, 2025 (the “Promotion Period”), eligible members can earn up to 2,600 bonus miles and a $50 gift card by completing certain qualifying activities.
  • Starbucks – $50 reload must be a single reload in the Starbucks app or on the Starbucks website. Excludes reloads made using funds from Starbucks gift cards or other third-party gift cards.
  • SkyMiles Dining – Offer is valid for new members only.
  • Delta Cars – rental must be completed before the end of the promotion period.
  • Promotional Fulfillment: Bonus miles will be added to Member’s SkyMiles account. Gift Cards will be emailed to each qualifying member’s email address within 30 days following the end of the promotion period.

Quick Thoughts

This is a United Mile Play-esque promotion from Delta which is worth registering for if you think you might complete even one of these tasks. That said, it’s not going to be worth mattress running coffee running/restaurant running/rental car running all three of these tasks, although if you’ll happen to do two of them anyway, completing the third task to get a $50 Delta gift card might be worth it.

The lowest hanging fruit here is linking your Delta SkyMiles account to your Starbucks Rewards account and reloading your Starbucks card with $50. That activity would normally earn you 75 bonus SkyMiles through the partnership, so this would get you 175 bonus miles overall when taking into account the 100 bonus miles from the promotion.

The SkyMiles Dining task isn’t as easy to complete as the Starbucks task as you can’t do it sitting on the couch in your PJs, but it’s not hard to complete either. Perhaps the biggest barrier to entry for that one will be if you’ve already registered with SkyMiles Dining in the past.

It’s the Delta Cars task that’ll be a much trickier one for most people to complete seeing as it requires that you complete a $400+ rental (before taxes and fees) by October 5. You’d also be forgoing earnings from a shopping portal, but the $50 Delta gift card – if you complete all three tasks – could make that worthwhile in addition to the 1,000 bonus SkyMiles you’ll receive for that latter task.

If you’re quick, you can also stack it with a different Delta promotion offering Medallion Qualifying Dollars (MQDs) on car rentals and stays.

Will never drink Starbucks as long as Howard Shultz continues aiding and abetting the un-aliving, and the occupation/dispossession of the Palestinian people. No points in the world are worth it.

Unless one was already planning to spend almost $500 to specifically drink, dine and drive during the offer period, this is hardly worth the extra cash and meager SkyMiles Ed and company would potentially add to one’s bank and SkyMiles accounts.
Less than tempting to even expend the energy to register, no less perform and behave accordingly.
