The Alaska, United and Southwest shopping portals are all running promotions at the moment offering bonus miles/points when hitting spending thresholds.
They’re now joined by another Cartera-run shopping portal, this time the Delta one. There are three different spending tiers, with up to 2,000 bonus miles on offer.
The Deal
- The Delta shopping portal is offering the following three-tiered promotion:
- Spend $100 & earn 300 bonus SkyMiles
- Spend $400 & earn 1,200 bonus SkyMiles
- Spend $600 & earn 2,000 bonus SkyMiles

Key Terms
- During the “Back-to-School Bonus” offer, which runs from July 21, 2025, 12:00:00 am through August 11, 2025, at 11:59:59 pm ET (the “Bonus Period”), eligible SkyMiles Members who have a SkyMiles Shopping account will receive a one-time bonus of up to 2,000 bonus miles on qualifying purchases, in addition to the standard mileage offer earned from shopping online through SkyMiles Shopping.
- This one-time bonus award will be based on Member’s cumulative qualifying purchases made during the Bonus Period: Tier 1 bonus: 300 miles for qualifying purchases of at least $100; Tier 2 bonus: 1,200 miles for qualifying purchases of at least $400; or Tier 3 bonus: 2,000 miles for qualifying purchases of at least $600 or more.
- Tier bonuses are not stackable – if a Member makes a qualifying purchase of $600 or more, the Member will only receive the Tier 3 bonus and not any other tiers directly below it.
- Returns, cancellations, shipping and handling, taxes, gift cards, discounts, coupons, or other cash equivalent purchases (such as gift cards or certificates) are not included in the bonus miles eligibility calculation. Please see the SkyMiles Shopping site for details on product eligibility and/or any coupon code details or other usage restrictions. Specific merchant exclusions apply, and Member is responsible for reviewing each SkyMiles Shopping store offer page (and any terms and conditions applicable to each merchant) to determine which products/services are excluded from counting as part of qualifying spend for purposes of the offer.
- Excluded products and services, and excluded merchants, are not eligible for this bonus offer.
- Purchases must be made on the eligible Member’s account to be valid; if a purchase is made prior to the creation of an account, such purchase will not be eligible.
- Purchases before or after the Bonus Period will not be eligible for the bonus offer.
- Member must be in good standing with SkyMiles Shopping at the time of fulfillment.
- The maximum number of bonus miles that will be awarded to an eligible SkyMiles Shopping account through the “Back-to-School Bonus” offer is 2,000 bonus miles.
- Please allow up to 10 business days after completion of qualifying purchase for standard miles earned from shopping to be deposited in your SkyMiles account, but allow up to 10 weeks after the Bonus Period for the 2,000 bonus miles to post to your SkyMiles account.
- Bonus miles do not count towards Million Miler status.
Quick Thoughts
This is a pretty good earning opportunity if you’re a Delta loyalist. However, be sure to compare rates on Cashback Monitor or Savewise because you might be able to get a better rate elsewhere even when taking into account the bonus miles on offer. Also take into account the bonus miles available through the Alaska, United and Southwest shopping portals because those might offer even better value.
