Did anyone receive at least the 10% cashback for using Apple Pay to buy gift cards?
No one has received 10% back for anything yet. That’s good: it means there is still hope for gift cards.

I signed up for the Discover promo back in June and currently have Discover IT that I’ve had for over a year and an iPhone 6. If I added a second Discover Miles card is it covered under the promotion too?
Yes, but its unclear at this point whether the $10,000 spend limit is per card or per person. My expectation is that it is per card, but I’m not 100% sure.
[…] Earlier, I labeled Discover’s Double Cash Back for a Year promotion the Promo of the Year. The ability to combine Discover It’s 5% categories with Discover Deals shopping bonuses and get all of that cashback doubled is absurdly generous. Now, Discover execs have slipped completely off their rocking chairs and are offering 10% cashback for all Apple Pay purchases between September 16 and December 31 2015. […]
i currently have the Discover More card. Do I need to apply for another card or will this card eventually be part of this deal? I attempted to add it to Apple Pay and it said it wasn’t supported. But then again, none of the cards may be supported yet…
Discover is not yet supported by Apple Pay, but it will be soon. At that point you should be able to add your Discover More card. I don’t know if the More card is included in this deal, though. I expect it is, but I’d recommend contacting Discover to ask.
Gotcha. I jumped the gun and thought they were already doing it. I posted on the Facebook wall and now I await the response.
Ok. I answered my own question. (10+1.5)x2 = 23 instead of 1.5×2 at the end of the year
I tried to add my Discover It Miles card to Apple Pay and it says it is not a supported card.
They are not supported until next week.
I am a bit confused. Pardon me. I have discover it miles card. I never signed up for double promo because I thought it was for it cards only. So how are you getting x23 for discover it miles card? Or could someone have signed up for double promo with miles as well??
Maybe a dumb question comment: iPhone 6 user here. Currently running iOS 8.4.1, and the phone says it is up to date. How can there be iOS 9 (unless it is set to release with the discoverIT promotion).
apple will release ios 9 shortly
So I have a Discover card (with only a 10% bonus – no double bonus) but no iPhone and thus no apple pay. But if I purchase a new iPhone for $650 all I need to do to cover the cost is to buy $6500 worth of gift cards?
As Gru would say, “Lightbulb!”
Or purchase a refurbished I pad 3 mini for $150 and pocket more cash (iPad 3 minis have apple pay)
I think that iPad support for Apple Pay is only for in-app purchases not for in-store purchases
