Choice Privileges has launched its latest set of Sweet Spot Rewards and its an excellent selection with discounted awards bookable in some of my favorite places around the country.

Quick Thoughts
I haven’t stayed at any of the specific hotels on this list, but have visited many of the locations where there are eligible properties for this award sale and there are lots of highlights.
New Mexico has been my favorite state on our road trip so far and although Carlsbad was probably the least attractive part of an otherwise stunning state, Carlsbad Caverns are well worth a visit. The Quality Inn & Suites there is bookable from only 12,000 points per night. I’ve not checked the cash pricing for the next couple of months, but when we visited a couple of years ago I was surprised at how high room rates were there and so we redeemed some Marriott 35k night certificates at the TownePlace Suites Carlsbad.
One of my other happy places has been Vermont and the Comfort Inn & Suites Near Burke Mountain in Saint Johnsbury is bookable from only 8,000 points per night. That’s an absolute steal considering how expensive room rates are in New England right now due to it being fall season and this could be an excellent spot to see the fall leaves. Depending on your dates, this property has one bedroom suites with two queen beds available bookable with points.
Another of my favorite places in the country is Sedona, AZ. Although there aren’t any eligible properties in Sedona, there’s the Clarion Pointe Prescott Valley available from 8,000 points per night. That’s only an hour or so from Sedona and a similar kind of distance to the cute cities of Cottonwood and Jerome.
Other highlights (for me) based on location are the Cambria Hotel Louisville Downtown-Whiskey Row in Kentucky, The Freeport Hotel, Ascend Hotel Collection in Maine, Cambria Hotel Traverse City in Michigan, The Gibson Hotel Great Falls, Ascend Hotel Collection in Montana, The Hotel Saratoga, Ascend Hotel Collection in Saratoga Springs, New York and Cambria Hotel Charleston Riverview in South Carolina.
In addition to 30 properties in the US, there are two in Canada and two in Europe (one in Prague and one in Bordeaux).
Don’t forget that you can transfer Citi ThankYou points to Choice on a 1:2 basis. That means that some of these hotels are bookable from only 4,000 ThankYou points per night which is an awesome deal.

One of my favs is the Cambria in downtown Pittsburgh. Holds 4 adults comfortably and a great place to stay when going to a Steelers or Pirates game.
