This website was… how do I say it? Relevant!! Finally I’ve found something that helped me.
Cheers!
Just received an email from Expedia and they canceled my booking citing the coupon was intended for Discover card holders and I did not use discover card and thus in violation of T&C. I do have a discover it card, I just did not know it was required to use it. Anyway, now the coupon is dead, I have to rebook the hotels. Luckily the hotel is still bookable.
I got Hotels.com to price match this for a hotel i booked last week and they did! hopefully they don’t change their mind now that Expedia is saying this it was a mistake.
[…] reported by Doctor of Credit and Frequent Miler (among others, I’m sure), Expedia is offering up to $200 on select hotel […]
This totally fits the “quick deals” criteria. At first when I checked it was working; one hour later it was gone!!
dead!
Thanks. I have updated the post.
Awesome! Just rebooked my apartment in Prague and saved $60 (from the previous rate).
Tried it for an Embassy Suites in Puerto Rico and said hotel not eligible.
Great share! We just booked a 3-night stay near the Alabama Shakespeare Festival. The total after-discount price was $89. We booked with our Arrival MasterCard and will use points to pay off the $89 fee. That works out to <3,000 per night. Not bad for a suite with a kitchen.
Thank you, Shawn!
Are reservations made through expedia still eligible for points via the rewards program of the hotel chain? I see the “doctor of credit” link uses IHG hotel pics as part of their promo of the deal. Yet say if I’d book (via expedia) 3 nights at an IHG (or Club Carlson) property, would I still get credit for the stay as part of membership rewards program at IHG (or CC — and especially thinking of CC’s current “stay more” promo) ? Or does reserving via this special expedia promo turn the stay into a “non qualifying rate?”
does this stack with the UP portal to earn 2pt/$?
