The latest batch of Flying Blue Promo Rewards are out and they’re good for 25% off economy award flights from New York and Chicago to/from Europe.
Flying Blue is listing these discounted awards as starting from 16,500 miles each way, but it’s possible to get even lower costs depending on where in Europe you’ll be visiting.
The Deal
- Save 25% on economy award tickets when flying on Air France or KLM between New York or Chicago and Europe.
- Direct link to offer.
Key Terms
- Book by May 31, 2022.
- Valid on travel from May 1 to October 31, 2022 for flights to/from New York.
- Valid on travel from September 1 to October 31, 2022 for flights to/from Chicago.
Quick Thoughts
As mentioned above, Flying Blue states that these discounted awards start from 16,500 miles each way. However, some European cities will cost even less than that.
For example, flying from Chicago to Prague in October can cost 16,125 miles each way, albeit with ~$79 in taxes and fees.
Both Chase and Citi are offering 25% bonuses at the moment when transferring Ultimate Rewards or ThankYou points to your Flying Blue account. That means you could transfer as few as 13,000 points in order to have enough Flying Blue miles to book a one way economy award to Europe. That’s a great price if you don’t mind flying economy, especially because these latest Flying Blue Promo Rewards are valid on travel throughout the summer if flying to/from New York.
For example, New York to Prague has discounted awards on 10 days in August which is pretty good if you have some semblance of flexibility as to which day you fly.

do they actually price at 16,125? I see many that shows 16,125 on calendar but the lowest when I clicked was 21,500
