Get $200 back on Qatar Airways flights with new Amex Offer

2

There is a new, targeted Amex Offer that’s good for $200 back when you spend $850 or more with Qatar Airways, with the caveat that the flight has to be booked through Amex Travel®.

For those looking for 2025-2026 travel, this could be a useful accoutrement, especially since the $850 can be reached in more than one transaction.

The Deal

  • Earn a one-time $200 statement credit after using your enrolled eligible Card to spend a minimum of $850 in one or more purchases on Qatar Airways flight tickets purchased directly through Amex Travel
    • Enrollment required
    • Expires 12/31/25

Key Terms

  • Only US-issued American Express® Cards are eligible.
  • Limit of 1 statement credit per eligible Card Member account.
  • Offer valid only for Qatar Airways flight tickets purchased directly through American Express Travel®, online at AmexTravel.com, or the Amex Travel App™.
  • Qatar Airways flight tickets purchased directly with Qatar Airways are excluded.
  • Excludes all other types of American Express Travel bookings or purchases not listed as eligible.
  • Offer valid only on purchases made in US dollars.
  • Please allow 90 days after 12/31/2025 for the statement credit(s) to be posted to the Account.

Quick Thoughts

Saving $200 on paid tickets is no chump change, especially since it only requires $850 in spend to trigger it. In my experience, Qatar flights through Amex Travel are rarely marked up to any significant degree, but it’s worth comparing with Google Flights before booking.

Do note the restriction on flight origin: terms dictate that flights must originate in the US and be charged in US dollars to qualify. I always find that mildly annoying since I prefer to book flights as one-ways and would rather book a one-way to/from the US — but I can’t do that with this offer since flights need to originate in the US.

Are you sure the flights have to originate from US? I don’t see where it says that.
