Quick Thoughts
When checking the Choice Experiences website yesterday, there were three NASCAR races available. There are now only two left – Sonoma, CA on July 13 and Dover, DE on July 20. I can’t remember where the other race was at, but it’s presumably sold out. As a result, if you’re interested in redeeming your points for tickets at either of these races, it’d be prudent to do that ASAP.
Redeeming 4,000 points for a ticket is a surprisingly good deal. Our Reasonable Redemption Value (RRV) for Choice points is 0.67 cents per point which equates to $26.80 at that RRV level. Grandstand tickets for these races on the other hand appear to be selling for $100+.
If you’d be redeeming points for you and some children, be sure to check regular ticket pricing for all of you. When checking ticket prices on Ticketmaster, although adult tickets were $100+, child tickets were less than $15 apiece. Unfortunately you presumably can’t mix and match ticket booking options by redeeming Choice points for adult tickets and paying cash for children’s tickets as you wouldn’t be guaranteed seats together.
