After several weeks of being nowhere to be found, the Hawaiian Airlines Mastercard issued by Bank of Hawai’i has seemingly come back from the dead. It has a new welcome offer that lets you earn 60,000 Atmos Points after just $2,000 in purchases within the first 90 days. Weirdly, the Barclays edition of the card now seems to be MIA.

Quick Thoughts
There have traditionally been two “versions” of the Hawaiian Airlines credit card: Barclays and Bank of Hawai’i. We originally anticipated that both would go away once Hawaiian merged with Alaska Airlines under Atmos Rewards, but it appears they will all be around for some time.
We haven’t seen a working link for the Bank of Hawai’i (BOH) card for a bit, while the Barclays version has been available. Last week, the application link for the Barclays card suddenly died and the BOH reappeared, offering 10,000 additional points.
If all you’re looking for is Atmos Points, it’s worth noting that there are currently links to a 100k offer for the Atmos Summit card and a 70k offer for the Atmos Ascent.

The application page redirects to Barclays’ site and says “Apply through Barclays” or words to that effect, so there must be some arrangement between Bnk of Hawaii and Barclays.
There always has been.
That did not happen for me. It went to BOH site.
Can you get the BOH card if you have the barclays hawaiian card (and the atmos summit)?
Yes, I want to know this too. And if it’s true, would canceling your Barclays Hawaiian card and waiting a week work?
Thanks Tim. Interesting.
Can anyone confirm whether a Barclays banned customer be auto-denied with this Bank of Hawaii version?
Or are their underwriting silos separate?
Don’t bother if you’re blocked from Barclays.
Why did you get banned from Barclay’s?
I didn’t say I got banned from Barclays. 🙂
Many folks have. Tim’s post, showing an odd decoupling of BofH and Barclays, got me wondering if that whole group might have a new chance.
