Hilton Honors double points promotion

The Deal

Key Terms

  • Offer valid for stays completed January 1 – April 30, 2025 (“promotion period”) at any hotel or resort within the Hilton Portfolio. Hilton Honors members must first register at HiltonHonors.com/DoubleYourStay prior to completing a stay within the promotion period.
  • Registered Hilton Honors members checking in before January 1, 2025, will receive Bonus Points for their stay if the stay is completed on or after January 1, 2025, and prior to or on April 30, 2025.
  • Registered Hilton Honors members will earn Double Points per stay during the promotion period. “Double Points” means members will receive Bonus Points equal to the number of Base Points earned during a stay.
  • There is no limit to the total amount of Bonus Points that may be earned during the promotion period with this offer. However, there are restrictions on the number of Base Points that can be earned on a single stay at certain brands.
  • This offer may be altered or terminated without notice. Bonus Points do not count toward elite tier qualification. Please allow six to eight weeks from completion of your stay for Bonus Points to appear in your account. A ‘stay’ is defined as the total number of consecutive nights spent at the same hotel, whether or not a guest checks out and checks back in again. Offer is not valid for groups and cannot be combined with other select offers. In-Room Internet Access, Fitness Center/Health Club Access and Bottled Water benefits may not be complimentary at properties with a resort charge. Space-available upgrades only available at select brands. Elite status benefits are subject to availability and vary by brand. For more information, please visit HiltonHonors.com.

Quick Thoughts

Hilton hasn’t been very creative over the last few years as the vast majority of its promotions have consisted of offering double points on stays. It’s hard to begrudge the lack of creativity though because at least it’s a somewhat rewarding promotion and Hilton Honors has been reliable with running nonstop promos throughout the year.

The vast majority of Hilton’s brands offer 10 points per dollar spent, so these double points promos boost your earnings to 20x. For the couple of brands that only offer 5 points per dollar (Home2 Suites and Tru), the double points offer will earn you 10x.

Your total earnings could be far higher though. If you have status with Hilton, you’ll earn a multiplier on the base points, but be aware that the multiplier doesn’t apply to bonus points from this double points promotion. You’ll also earn bonus Hilton points if paying with a Hilton credit card.

That means you can earn up to 44 points per dollar total depending on your status and credit card:

  • Base points – 10x
  • Bonus points from double points promo – 10x
  • Hilton Aspire bonus points – 14x
  • Diamond status bonus points – 10x
  • Total = 44x

In addition to those earnings, you can book your paid stays after clicking through from a shopping portal – here are the current rates. If you don’t need to book your stay immediately, browse the Hilton website nonetheless on a browser with the Capital One Shopping browser extension installed. Capital One Shopping has frequently offered 30% cashback on my account over the last few months which is a very generous return.

Also keep an eye on your Amex cards for Amex Offers valid at Hilton brands as that can save you even more.
