Follow along here!

hotwire 30 off

Hotwire is offering $30 off 4 star or higher hotels with no minimum amount. The discount only applies to Hotwire Hot Rates and is supposed to be good through 3/2/15.

Since this deal only applies to their “Hot Rates”, you won’t be able to choose a specific property. Instead, you are given basic location and amenity information.

Hotwire does charge their own fees on some of these bookings as well. For example I found a $31 per night hotel in Las Vegas. On that booking, the taxes and fees came to $10.06. Since hotel taxes are 12% in Vegas, that means Hotwire is charging a $6.34 fee.

To get the discount:

  • Click this link.
  • The discount will show on the Hotwire home page.
  • Search and book a “Hot Rate” on a 4 star or higher hotel.

Are others having the same experience as Frank, that it is a one-time offer? Thanks.

If only this allowed 3-star properties, it would be a great deal for a one-night stay. With 4-stars, you need to find a cheap one — or know exactly what you’re likely to get — to make it worthwhile. I think it works better in Europe (do to laxer standards, more cheap hotels qualify as 4-stars) and Asia (hotels are cheaper) than in the USA.

Just tried to complete another booking, no-go. One time only discount.

If you book multiple back to back Hot Rates, what are the odds that you get the same hotel each time? Anyone have experience?

Frank

One question, if I book back to back dates can I combine the reservations at a later date? I know how to get the same hotel but have never combined reservations.
