Unlike most hotel programs, World of Hyatt has never had a calendar that would allow you to see a property’s availability and pricing by month. There was a “points calendar,” but it only showed you what a given hotel would cost in points IF it were available. In order to find it if it really was, you had to click through to individual dates…which made it almost useless.
As of today, that’s thankfully all in the past, as Hyatt has updated its points calendar to show both cost and availability by month.
How to find World of Hyatt’s award calendar
In order to see a Hyatt property’s award calendar, you have to go to the individual hotel page. This can be done by searching for a property directly, or by clicking “View Rates” after a destination search:
Once on the property page, click on the “Points Calendar” button:
This will show you the full award calendar, including both pricing and off-peak dates:
If a property isn’t available on a specific date, you’ll see it grayed out with the text, “Room Choice Not Available for Check-in:”
Quick Thoughts
This is a great (and long-overdue) addition to Hyatt’s web and app functionality. Hyatt was the last of the major hotel chains to not allow you to look at award availability by month. Being able to do so will make finding dates at hard-to-book properties much easier.
After perusing several different cities, it looks like all brands are covered, save one: Mr & Mrs Smith (MMS). I assume that this is due to the dynamic pricing that Hyatt uses for those properties, but that feature is also why it would be nice to be able to peruse award prices by month, as it would allow you to quickly find the cheapest available dates. We asked Hyatt whether or not there are plans to add points calendars to MMS properties, and will update this post when we find out.
In the meantime, happy hunting!

One note: You can only see the points calendar if you searched for hotels with points. If you search for cash you don’t see it.
Nice. At the risk of looking a gift horse in the mouth it would be splendid if Hyatt allowed a blend of award nights, points, and free night certificates on the same booking where you could choose which nights to use a specific form of payment.
Isn’t that same as “pay your way” feature? I have an upcoming booking that is a combination of FNC and points, all booked as one reservation of three night.
You are doubtless correct. Thanks! I just haven’t used that yet so it slipped my mind.
Finally. The amount of times I’ve gotten my chase locked bc Hyatt gave me some bogus total.
