There is a new, targeted Amex Offer out this week that’s good for $150 back when you spend $700 or more at Hyatt properties in Hawai’i. If you’re planning a trip to in the next few months, this could make for a nice savings.

Quick Thoughts
This is a pretty good offer, given that you would save over 20% if you just charged $700 to your targeted card. It’s also nice that you can hit the $700 in more than one transaction, given that many people stay in more than one property when visiting the islands.
There’s only nine Hyatt locations that are within the Hawaiian Islands (since Destination Residences are excluded from the promo), so there’s not a ton of selection. That said, the one Hyatt Place, located in Waikiki, would allow you to stack this offer with a targeted Chase promo to save as much as $250 off of $1100 in total charges by splitting the bill between an Amex card and a Chase card.

Does anyone happen to know if the luau at Grand Hyatt Kauai codes as the GH hotel or codes separately as a restaurant/entertainment? I have a stay in 2025 but wondered if I paid for the luau before 12/31 if that would trigger the offer.
