Hyatt has launched a new promotion giving 1,000 bonus points plus double elite night credits on stays through the end of September. While that sounds fantastic, there’s a catch – it’s only valid at 15 different properties in Florida.
The Deal
- Earn 1,000 bonus points per night + double elite night credits at select Hyatt properties in Florida.
- Direct link to registration.
Key Terms
- You must be a member of World of Hyatt in good standing and register for the promotion between June 24 and August 30, 2024, to participate.
- Only Eligible Nights completed after registration and between June 24 and September 30, 2024 (“Promotion Period”) will count towards this promotion.
- Beginning on your first eligible stay after registration, you will receive 1,000 Bonus Points and double Tier Qualifying Night credits for every (1) Eligible Night stayed at participating Hyatt hotels and resorts in Florida during the Promotion Period.
- A maximum of 20,000 Bonus Points and 20 Tier Qualifying Night credits may be earned under this promotion.
- Promotion is not valid at hotels that do not participate in World of Hyatt at the time of your stay.
- All points awarded under this promotion and bonus offer are Bonus Points.
- For the purpose of this promotion and bonus offer, an “Eligible Night” is defined as any night where a member is paying an Eligible Rate or redeems a free night award.
- For the purposes of this promotion and bonus offer, consecutive nights at the same hotel constitute one stay (even if you check out and check back in).
- Only the room occupied by the member will count toward this promotion and bonus offer.
- You must provide your World of Hyatt membership number at the time of check in for each stay.
- Please allow two to four weeks after checkout for Bonus Points and the Tier Qualifying Nights credits to be posted to your World of Hyatt account.
- Except as expressly stated, this promotion and bonus offer are not valid with other offers, promotions or discounts and is non-transferable.
Quick Thoughts
On the face of it this is a good offer, especially if you’re trying to earn 60 elite night credits in order to requalify for Globalist status. You can earn up to 20 bonus elite night credits from this promotion which would be matched by the standard 20 elite night credits you’d earn on those 20 nights, for a total of 40 – two-thirds of the way to Globalist status.
This promotion is valid on both paid and award stays which is helpful. However, as mentioned earlier though, there’s a big catch – it’s only valid at the following 15 properties in Florida:
- Hyatt Regency Orlando
- Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Resort
- Dream South Beach
- Hyatt Centric Key West Resort & Spa
- Hyatt Centric South Beach Miami
- Hyatt Regency Miami
- Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa
- Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport
- Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa
- Hyatt Regency Sarasota
- Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay
- Hyatt Regency Coral Gables
- Hyatt Centric Las Olas Fort Lauderdale
- Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront
- Hyatt Centric Brickell Miami
I am currently doing the Hyatt and American Airlines status challenge. 10 nights gives you esplorist and 20 give you Globalist in 90 days. Will doing this florida promotion work for me? Could I do 10 nights?
Curious if all Hyatts do remote check in…
Not all. I had a big fail attempting that recently. Not only did they keep my points, they also charged me a $140 no-show fee. It was not a Florida property that was part of this promo.
Stephen any chance your MHC registered you?
I’d wondered if that was it, but the same thing happened when trying to register my wife who doesn’t have Globalist status. She did have it in the past though, so perhaps she still gets auto-enrolled in promos.
Just want to make sure I understand the terms of this promo: Need to have 2 stays at one of these hotels in FL, and the promo only applies after the 1st stay?
No, no need to have two stays – you’ll start earning double elite nights and 1,000 bonus points per night from your very first stay.
[…] this now: Register for 1,000 bonus points per night and double elite nights at most non Hyatt Place and Hyatt … through September […]
We are thinking of going to Orlando on 4th July long weekend as a couple (no kids) and this promotion will surely help (am a Globalist). However would like to know others thoughts if its a good time to visit at this time considering weather and holiday rush… we are based in Raleigh and this would be our first time to Orlando..
I am currently enrolled in a targeted double qualifying nights promotion. Any thoughts on whether this would stack with that and/or the Dream/Thompson promo (Dream South Beach)?
It might; if it does, it would mean you’d earn 3 elite night credits rather than your existing double nights being doubled again to 4.
That said, the terms state that this promo and bonus offer can’t be combined with other offers, so I’m not certain you would earn 3 elite night credits.
I signed up for automatic registration for all hyatt promotion from my globalist concierge a couple years ago. I don’t think I needed to register for any promotions since then.
I’d wondered if that was it, but the same thing happened when trying to register my wife who doesn’t have Globalist status. She did have it in the past though, so perhaps she still gets auto-enrolled in promos.
It would really help if you put the category levels of each of the 15 properties against their names. Just saying…
For what it’s worth, I didn’t get the email but when I registered with your direct link it told me that I was registered.
Thank you! I was already planning visits to 2 of these hotels during the promo period, so this is just extra for me!
Hey,
How would the weather be at this time.. We are thinking of going to Orlando on 4th July long weekend as a couple (no kids) however still deciding if its a good time to considering weather and holiday rush. What would you suggest or would you recommend any other place in FL at this time (Tampa or Fort Myers) .. thanks
Stephen, if you’re a globalist then you’re likely probably enrolled in the automatic registration option with My Hyatt Concierge which is why you got that error https://thepointsguy.com/news/globalist-auto-enroll-promotions/
I’d wondered if that was it, but the same thing happened when trying to register my wife who doesn’t have Globalist status. She did have it in the past though, so perhaps she still gets auto-enrolled in promos.
