(EXPIRED) Hyatt promotion: Earn 1,000 bonus points per eligible night at Dream Hotels

Hyatt recently added Dream Hotels to its portfolio. As long as you register by August 15, 2023, you can earn a bonus 1,000 points per eligible night at Dream properties up to 10,000 bonus points.

Key Terms

• You must be a member of World of Hyatt in good standing and register for the promotion between June 28, 2023 (9:00 a.m. CT), and August 15, 2023 (11:59 p.m. CT), to participate.
• Only Eligible Nights at participating Dream hotels after registration and between July 6, 2023, and September 15, 2023, (“Promotion Period”) will count towards this promotion. Eligible Nights will be recognized after checkout date.
• You will receive 1,000 Bonus Points for every Eligible Night after registration and during the promotion period at participating Dream hotels.
• A maximum of 10,000 Bonus Points may be earned under this promotion.
• Promotion is not valid at Dream Hotels that do not participate in World of Hyatt at the time of your stay.
• All points awarded under this promotion are Bonus Points.
• For the purpose of this promotion, an “Eligible Night” is defined as any night where a member is paying an Eligible Rate or redeems a free night award.

Quick Thoughts

This is a pretty easy bonus if you have upcoming stays at Dreams properties, though on the other hand it isn’t really enough to move the needle in terms of making one choose Dream Hotels over other options.

For clarity’s sake, qualifying nights for this promotion include both eligible paid nights and award nights. Redeeming a free night award means using your World of Hyatt points or a free night certificate to book the room, so both types of awards do count.

I’ve been curious about the Dream Downtown and Dream Midtown in New York, but neither of them have appeared to represent a particularly good value from an award perspective. That said, the extra 1,000 points per night wouldn’t hurt if you were considering a paid rate.

I always recommend registering for promotions like these just in case you unexpectedly end up with a qualifying stay — you can only register until August 15th and it would be a bummer to miss out on the extra points if you ended up with an unexpected stay between the registration cutoff and promotion end date in September.
