There is a new targeted Chase Offer out today to get 10% back on Alaska Airlines flights when you spend $50 or more (up to $31 back). That’s a mild savings, but getting ten percent off on airfare is always a welcome sight.
The Deal
- Get 10% back on an Alaska Airlines purchase of $50 or more via a new targeted Chase Offer
Key Details
- Expires 9/27/19
- Maximum of $31 back
- Not valid on lounge purchases, gift card purchases, in-flight purchases, or purchases made using Mileage Plan points
Quick Thoughts
Keep in mind that Chase Offers are only valid on the first purchase, not on cumulative purchases. Buying airfare for more than one person typically results in the fares being charged separately, so don’t count on an airfare of less than $310 per person triggering the full $31 back.
That said, if you have this offer available and have plans to book with Alaska Airlines, this is a nice little return on spend, especially if you have it on a Chase Sapphire Reserve (which is a good card to use for both its travel protections and 3x earning on such a purchase). Unfortunately, I didn’t see this offer on any of my accounts, but Stephen Pepper found it on one of his.
Also keep in mind the short period of validity as this offer expires in about two weeks (on 9/27/19).

Thanks for posting! 0/3 for me. Seems like a good deal if you’re targeted.
Not sure how “new” this offer is. I got it on my CSR 2 weeks ago.
Feel free to send us an email when you see something like that. I didn’t receive it on any cards in my household, nor had Greg or Stephen, so it was new to us.
Yeah it’s been there for awhile. I think DoC made a post about it but not 100% sure. Just a heads up, I had this on my ritz card and booked two one way flights (on the same order/checkout) but Alaska charged my card individually for the flights. Just got an email from chase saying congrats I used the offer, but the amount is only 10% of the one flight (as you may have expected given how the charge posted). The flights were only $100 so talking about $10 here but might call chase anyway to see if they’ll resolve.
Yeah, I noted in the post that multiple tickets usually get charged separately (true with most/all airlines) and because of the way Chase Offers works, you’ll only get the offer on the first charge. That’s unfortunately an annoyance of booking airfare for multiple people when trying to use things like this. The same happens with US Bank’s real-time mobile rewards where I think the charges come in such quick succession that it’s only actually possible to use the real time mobile rewards for one ticket.
