The Pepper App is offering an intro bonus for new users: get double points (at least 10% back) at select merchants for the first 15 days. Pepper came out of the gate strong last month with a great referral offer before slowing things down significantly, but this could be a very good deal for some of the included brands.

The Deal

  • The Pepper app is offering a deal for new users to get double points (a minimum of 10% back) for the first 15 days at the following select merchants:
    • Airbnb
    • Hopper
    • Southwest
    • Delta
    • Uber and Uber Eats
    • Hotels.com
    • Groupon
    • Texaco
    • Chevron
    • GrubHub
  • Note that this stacks with the new member referral offer to get $20 back in rewards after spending $100 or more that is also available using our link
  • Direct link to this deal (our affiliate link)

Key Terms

  • Valid from 2/23/24 to 2/28/24
  • The Double Points offer will only apply to new users to the platform or users that have never made a purchase. Anyone who does not fit into one of these buckets will not receive the offers for the listed merchants above
  • Points will be placed into accounts 16 days after sign up and the points will expire after 60 days
  • New Users can take advantage of the offer as many times as they like (up to the system limit of $1K in daily transactions per user)

Quick Thoughts

While we sometimes see better discounts for a couple of these brands, I imagine that many readers might find it useful to get 10% back on Airbnb, Delta, and perhaps on Hotels.com or the included gas brands.

Note that this offer is only for new members who have never made a purchase. If you previously signed up for Pepper Rewards and purchased any gift cards, you won’t be eligible for this promotion.

As noted under The Deal, this stacks with the standing new member offer to get $20 when you join the platform and make your first purchase of $100 or more. In other words, if you signed up as a new member under this offer and bought a $100 Delta gift card (for instance), you’d get both $20 back (the new user referral offer) and $10 back (the 10% back offer) for a total of $30 back on $100. That would be an excellent deal for any of the included brands.

Keep in mind that you’ll only get 5% back immediately on the included brands — the additional 5% back posts 16 days after sign up and those points expire in 60 days. It’s worth keeping in mind that second part — if you don’t use those rewards quickly, you will lose them. Make sure to set a reminder to do that.

My wife and I made a number of Pepper Rewards app purchases last month and while we haven’t yet seen the other half of the 10% offer, I know others who have and I expect we will receive the entire balance of rewards due. While this new offer isn’t quite as generous as the previous offer (that previous offer provided 10% back on all gift card purchases for the first 30 days), it could nonetheless be a good deal for anyone who highly values the included brands.

I think you should put a disclaimer that it’s not an app made / endorsed by Stephen Pepper – my mind keeps associating this app with Stephen.
